Flashed to the crux after putting draws up. Felt significantly harder than 27 at the crux. I could not pull any of the moves. Pulled through that draw and did the final move to top out. Happy I got on it. Would be happier if it was 28 or 29.

Cool start but that was all I could get😂

Got a little prematurely excited and ended up trying to climb the wrong blade ridge, we put up a new route in the process called "That must be Blade Ridge", 110m bush 19 R/X * mega classic.

First try of alpine climbing! What an epic/challenging day! Brittle rock, lots of soloing, but so grateful to have done it. 7hours to get 3/4 of the way along, 3 to get back to Barron pass via a 70m rapp of the needle

Planned bail-out after the 2nd pitch as we were spooked off by the walls intimidation factor. Felt pretty solid up to there and probably would have pushed through if we had started the route earlier in the day or brought head torches along. Definitely putting this one on my list to get back and send.

Well worth the hike up in good weather

Fell on the last hard move 😢. Good progress though!

Inspired by new edition of the guidebook which says this is the best crack climb in Tassie I came to the area to do a quick top-rope lap before rain. Apparently I ended up doing Salmonella Crack (needs to be added to TheCrag) by climbing a crack directly below the boulder with a sling - that still is one of the best crack climbs I've done, how good Divine Comedy must be then! First abseil point is marked with a little cairn (abseil directly to the right of it facing out - some solid trees for the anchor) Hopefully the area will see more traffic after it was included in the guidebook

I think this was my first attempt on a 20, was fun to play with some moves but definitely need to climb more and increase my strength.

really cool moves, with tricky and hard-to-read sequences. pumpy too, so lots of sits. lowered after a traumatising mega whip on the spaced bolts at the top.

Can’t say I don’t atleast try hard climbs. Sure it’s a great climb, but I’d have to set a top rope on it

Couple of TR attempts, after wanting to try this route for a while. Really nice sequence on the low crux. Took me too long to do, and ended up too gassed to do the upper crux properly. Nice winter project.

Unfortunate weather had us carry our gear into the base of the climb over the Geryon Saddle but not attempt the climb. Arrived late at the base due to wet weather and low visibility adding time to route finding. We've been looking at the line since our 2019 travers of Geryon. The line looks super rad and we will be back.

Well, that certainly didn’t go to plan

We’ve looked at doing Orion since our 2019 Geryon traverse but unfortunately we had to abort this attempt due to bad weather.

With very poor visibility and wet/misty conditions, we managed to hike over the saddle, swim down through the bush and arrive at the base of Orion after 3.5 hours. Everything was soaking wet; us, our ropes, our climbing gear and also the rock.

We made the call to abandon the day at 10am when the weather still hadn’t cleared and we would have been pushed for enough daylight to climb and descend safely.

Unfortunately no send of Orion for us this year; we’ll come back at summer solstice for maximum daylight at the end of the year

got scared! surprisingly crimpy at the start

Do not climb!!! Dangerous loose block at 2-3rd bolt, this needs re enforcing, if it comes off the climb is so much harder!
