Ascensiones de Big Friday

A few spread out attempts over the years. It’s certainly tricky, but a lot more manageable with knee pads and rehearsed beta.

I think 26 feels about right. Might be harder if you decide to try and avoid any of the knee bars/scums.

All I can say is, there is more than a grade difference between this climb and Little Wednesday (25).

Dogged all the way. Got all the moves but no idea how to clip the 3rd bolt. One of the hardest lines I've ever tried to work. Seems harder than any 27's I've sent or dogged but can't comment on harder than that. I reckon it would be a hard V7 problem from the 2nd clip to the top though. Really rate this line though, deserves more stars. And maybe a better placed 3rd clip.

Freed all but one move. Brutal. Can't understand how this could be only 26.

One sitttt, damn soo much effort to even get to one sit but happy with effort. So much sand and mozzies all the way up

x3 attempts to work out beta. Significantly nicer with knee-pads.

Knee bars on sandstone is kinda painful without pads

Two shots to figure out the beta (and tried to onsight this climb but can you do?). Next two shots were for the send! Actually liked climbing this, felt nice on the left hand crimps and right hand pinches. Just needs more traffic on this bad boy.

I think a kneebar pad might make this a touch easier. and maybe a breeze..

Hard. Couldn't consistently find the leg wrap required for the third clip—found it once and was too shocked it worked that I didn't take enough notice of where my leg was placed. Pumpy from there to the chains. Feels improbable without dialling in that leg wrap.

One shot, holds a little sandy (my belayer had to wear glasses to stop it going in her eyes) but would go with a bit more commitment.
