THIS IS STRICTLY A TRAD CLIMBING AREA!
Mt Greenly is a beautiful natural area with plenty of options for natural gear placements, there is no need for fixed rappel anchors as you can easily access the top/bottom of all cliffs in a matter on minutes.
Climbers at Mt Greenly have been following similar ethics to Mt Arapiles in Victoria; natural protection at all times, only adding a bolt where there is no natural protection at all or it is absolutely necessary. Mt Greenly currently has no bolts except for the obscure old bolt found on a small crag in the middle of the ridge, the history of this bolt is unknown.
Note: Some of the large Norther Summit Walls (above Green Room) may eventually need a fixed anchor as it can be dangerous to access some of the routes and middle ledges from the top of the cliff. If the popularity of climbing on the Eyre Peninsula increases over time this may need to be looked at. All other area's and crags have plenty of protection options to set up top-ropes or belay your second up to the top. Enjoy this beautiful area and keep it natural!
