As a connoisseur of easy sport climbs ( by necessity rather than design) I must question the new grade. I only climb once in a blue moon but the last time I climbed a grade 12 I pretty much had to use all my powers not to scream 'For F**ks sake Take !' Despite blowing conditions akin to ascending the north face of the Eiger in winter and hands closer to frozen chunks of chuck, this was a cruise. Oliver Story maybe you were looking to downgrade the 13 to 12 and upgrade this from the original 9 to 10 .. I can live with that . I like the soft touch as much as anyone , and like umpires decisions to all evens out (although maybe not the Ben Stokes LBW), but I cannot abide this one being called a 12. Thank you.

I suspect that the grades for "Trumpian Psychology" and "Alternative Facts" have accidentally been swapped. Alternative Facts is an incredibly easy route that feels about like a 7 or an 8, whereas Trumpian is far too difficult to be an 8.

As the description says, an excellent first lead. The first bolt is high up, but it's easy climbing to reach it. If it feels a bit scary, use a stick clip! Excellent jugs and ledges all the way through the route. An opportunity to climb in the sun, and the belayer can hide from the wind in the bushes at the base of the climb.

I have climbed this route previously, but am logging it for the first time after revisiting it today.

Anyway, this is a fun route and an opportunity to climb in the sun while coping with the notorious Mount Corree winds. The cruxy section is at the start and through the bulge, the top half is good easy fun. I fell off when I slapped for what I hoped would be a jug but turned out to be a sloper. I think I would like to have a go at leading this route next time I visit.

Bit weird at the top, on loose holds, or maybe I was a bit loose in choosing holds.

Does anyone know if this has been climbed yet? Feels like it would be about 29 or 30, so I reckon there are plenty of people around who could do it.

One go bolt-to-bolt. One attempt, that failed (twice), needed to sort more beta ... feet! Second clip is desperate. Surprisingly good climbing for a sideways micro route, would be a great boulder! Has way more foot holds than hand holds, hard part is working out which ones to use when.

Some bloody nice climbing

I have led this route before, but logging it for the first time after revisiting it today. This route is a delight and I would gladly do it again and again. Interesting moves over a few bulges in the lower section, and then some stellar slabbing in the top section. A couple of the bolt placements feel run out, but the climbing between them is very manageable, with the spacing of the bolts adding more excitement than fear.

Hanger has fallen off on 5th bolt and 6th is very loose and soon to go.

Still missing 5th hanger, but you could take a set of wires to put in nearby seam if you wanted.

Second shot - nice slab

Probably went off route, using the ledge/arete off to the right near the mid-point of the climb. Could still clip all the draws... still felt quite hard but probably not 22 hard.. ticking the way I climbed it as a 21.

I suspect to do it properly, the arete/ledge to the right is not in.

Thin sharp holds. Be careful of the rock in places. One rest. Sustained and I believe tough for the grade.

Footholds galore, making the small handholds good enough!

Possibly a more pleasant climb when the wind isn't raging and you aren't being made to crimp with cold hands. The handholds on this climb are very specific in how you need to hold them.

Outstanding crux, too pumped to dyno when we got to this climb and and just tried, fell, tried, fell until I got the bugger. I can see a day devoted to getting this one clean.

Felt hard for 17, went straight up, without going much left, resulting in a body position to the right of the anchor, from here clipping the anchor was quite difficult...
