Started with the second bolt clipped for safety. Great climb otherwise!

The second pitch is really nice, well worth checking out. Apparently I onsighted this back in 2014 (doubtful, no memory of it) but made an absolute mess this attempt.

I forgot how spicy this line is, would be a classic if it was bolted better. Currently dangerous in its state for a 19.

This is a beautiful route, the crimps on the upper head wall are glorious.

Pretty hard & runout for a 19

Heady is an understatement. Sat at the second due to route finding commitment issues. I walked left around the arete for bolt ?3, not sure if that's still in. Felt terrified for the first 3-4 bolts. Not sure if due to the distrust of ninderry rock, first arete or soloing the first bolt and/or the very mild runouts. Would be keen to find the best path on top rope and go again.

Adventurous.

I always forget how nice this climb is. But the bolting would definitely deter people. Which is a shame…

Hard to read on commiting moves. Much easier the second try.

My favourite route on the whole mountain so far. Big ups to whoever bolted this. Quite bold for 19!!

Good climbing Bit run out on a few of the clips but usually a good hold to grip to. Wouldnt wana fall between 4th and 5th due to ledge but good holds inbetween. Go slow and enjoy the view.

Pumped from the get go. Pulled a small block off just below the chains but thankfully no incident

Pulled on the last draw before the bolt, worried to slip off the wet holds and onto the ledge. The whole route was damp, making it not very enjoyable.

Wicked climbing on this one

After spending half a day trying to choose between potentially wet ninderry, or potentially blown out surf at cartys, decided to take the punt on climbing, and she’s dry.

Wee bit of rope soloing then head off at about 7PM, barefoot + headtorch.

Go to stabilise myself on a boulder, feel something slimy, look down, and realise my hand is on a fully grown CARPET PYTHON.

Let out a high pitch banshee squeal and proceed to barefoot run down what i think is the approach trail (it wasn’t)

Spend next 2 1/2 hours bush bashing through the densest vines I’ve ever seen, and sinking to my knees in mud, while headtorch batteries are slowly dying, and it’s also raining. GPS is very temperamental after phone went in swimming pool so lots of confusion trying to get back to approach trail…

Back to car after 10PM, completely rinsed. Was this my first epic?

Climbing was actually really fun, Lead-solo-french-free to clip the chains, then 2x clean burns on top rope solo. the choss adds a little anxiety on lead solo. Also the fact that last time lead soloing i took a 10 metre death-winger…

Long live “chossderry” solo missions!

Got to the last bolt fine but wasn't expecting the final sequence based on the rest of the climb

I must have done something funky here because I thought this was dreadful, but Jack had a good time so it's probably just his sadist approach to climbing

Really fun… one hold near the second last bolt seems to be glued on though?

Enjoyed the moves on this one! So many options, keen to go back and maybe get a red point* (thanks Lauren & Kenny)

This climb has everything - so many bolts you’ve gotta be careful of z-clipping, spiders occupying the crux holds (makes for a nice challenge), and footholds that decide they’d rather fly at your belayer’s head (makes you grateful for the extra bolts).

Still committing 1st - 2nd bolt, even after climbing hard slab at Mt Buffalo.

Maybe my perspective is skewed, but I wouldn’t recommend this until you’re comfortable at the grade.

Technically lost the onsight slipping at the first bolt 😅

Dicey moves through the roof/crux section for my height/wingspan especially. super fun route though!

Sad at 3rd, hard start for a 19! Might try climbing more on the arete next time. Lovely after that!

Idk why this area both scares, and frustrates the hell out of me.

A good route, worth a lap.
