Most areas are free to access to the public, some are closed for short times during the year due to car, bike and running races and other events such as flooding, bushfires or landslides after heavy rain but they will open again soon after.
Follow Hervey Range Road until there's slight incline and you'll see the large rocky outcrop on the left. If the road begins a large sweeping turn, you've gone too far. Park car where you can on the right hand side midway up the range and bush walk to location.
Just downhill from where you can park your car is an orangey-brown bedrock washout known as Bridal Falls. Step over the guardrail and go down. There'll be pipes under the highway if you got the right place. Start hiking uphill from this creek following it up towards to outcrop. Best walked after a burnoff.
Marking the rock at the start of the climbs used to be the norm, this is now frowned upon.
