Obvious and LOOOONG natural line that drips all winter but today it seeped no more, Freyr revealed bright long-forgotten colors and I brought out my subtlest of plainwall-heelhooks again. Somehow everyone seems to have their very own beta the whole way through to link the countless mystical sequences. So much climbing in one route, this is Freyr ❤️. After months of burning desire the flames couldn't go up much higher. Thanks Bram for belay and support. Thanks Hans and Linus for last days' hardmoving.
Had to reclaim some gear, cruised up to the left behind draw in style, then got totally stopped by the crux. Had to give it at least 5 attempts. Different beta worked in the end. Ah well..
Oh man, the distance (and the whipper) between the last and second to last bolt is mental. I had to give the bulge a couple of tries, retreated to a stable rest about 3 times, then got over it, lost my shit, got my shit back together, pulled myself up on some jugs, lacked a centimeter to make the clip, lost my shit again and... took a giant whipper. Then went at it again and killed it smooth as a bowl m***. Definitely worth the + there.
The first to last bolt was a horror to clip, tried 4 or five times and downclimbed every time to avoid hangdogging the route; spicy move over the last bulge.
Super adrenaline, distant clips but great holds; a rare chimney-like route with a stunning view at the end and action from beginning to end. Amazing! Fell two times and I still feel the rush.
Awesome!! Hard start, then cruisy moves up the wall to a steep finish with superb exposure over the Meuse River. Grab the big jugs and cut loose!! woo hoo
