Ascensiones en Baffin Island

The start is quite difficult without the added height of the snow bank. After a few more ascents and feedback, I think V3 is a fair grade. Minimal options for feet and slopers for the first handholds make this more than a beginner climb.

More interesting than Chilly Fingers. Might even recommend merging them as the climb is very similar.

Solid climb. V2 might be a bit sandbagged.

This climb is much harder when there is no snow drift at the base of the boulder. A snow drift and crash pad can bring you up to the juggy side pulls in the crack but when there is no snow drift you have to climb tricky slab with minimal options for feet. Recommend upgrading this to V2.

Maybe VB if the snow is high and you can reach the first hold in the crack, but holds are pretty sparse if you start from the ice. Snowy conditions did not help. Will attempt again in the spring and suggest a new grade.

Good warm up for this boulder.

For those that don't want the climbing season to end or are eager for it to start. Crux and compact start.

I think this might be more of a V1, maybe V2 due to the technical toe and heel hooks at the start.

The rock is a bit sharp in the right section of this route.

Might be difficult for beginners to get their first feet on the wall but is smooth sailing from there.

The crux is getting out of the lip and becomes very easy after this first move.

Crux is the start where you have to transfer your weight to get out of the overhang.

Maybe V4, definitely more difficult than any of the other V3s on the wall. Can make the climb easier by bumping up before the crimp near the lip. Good movement throughout the climb.

A hold broke from the crack. The second jug is now even bigger than before.

Classic Iqaluit boulder. Juggy, endurance climb.

Crux start. Satisfying to get over the shelf and onto the dihedral.

Didn't send this. The first move is a powerful lunge into a gaston from partly under an overhang. Recommend that this climb is higher than the V0 submitted.

Tried without using the right arete on the start and recommend that starting position for a slightly more challenging beginning.

This traverse has a fun sequence. Might be on the harder side of V1.

Similar thoughts as Amazon, except this route is less dynamic.

Fun dynamic move to get onto and over the ledge. It's a tight squeeze once on top to push for the top out. Big holds and solid feet for most of this problem make me think that it is more likely a V2.

The top out needs lots of cleaning. This variant top out doesn't add much to the problem aside from height and a little more difficulty pulling over the lip of the boulder.

After four more ascents, I think this climb is more in the V2/V3 range.

Determined that this problem should be downgraded after a four more ascents. Recommend V2/V3.
