Utslettefjellet has several areas developed routes, the most visited area is less than a five minute walk from the main road. Utslettefjellet is know for it's conglomerate, consisting of a range of lithologies such as quartzite, granite, gabbro, volcanics, jasper and limestone.
Once upon a time climbing in Utslettefjellet was compared with Buoux - The climbing is often monotonous and relatively heavy on the fingers. In return, the footwork is uncomplicated due to super friction. The climbing is often continuous and in the hardest routes it's difficult to rest.
