Rapped down and was hanging mid air trying to get to the belay station. My partner rapped below the belay station and had to ascend back up. It was a logistical nightmare. Took us an hour to set up the belay. Would totally recommend a bosun's chair. The climb itself was straightforward.

Back at the reef. Grace's first rappel not off the roof of her house, took it like a champ following directions that I yelled from the top of the cliff, particularly the part where I told her to detach the biner from the atc, but didn't specifically mention to also detach the atc from the rope, which was shortly after dropped to the ground sending Johnny (and the entire campsite that night) into absolute hysterics that she dropped her belay device on her first ever rap. We then weighed up whether she sits in the worlds least comfortable hanging belay, or has a slightly more stressful induction to Brooyar leading than necessary. Determined to not repeat another rope drag soloing nightmare, decided it was best for me to do the lead and extend almost every draw which did the trick just fine. Sunset beers.

Rope drag was too intense to top belay, so my first ever rope solo ensued on this classic.

Very nice traverse around the arete, feels exposed but super juggy. Too much rope drag to top belay so set up a fixed line for will to rope solo up, rope must have gotten caught on something! Definitely rate this climb

Amazing climb for the grade. Big moves, huge holds, and nice and steep. Awesome position. Semi hanging belay pretty uncomfortable for 3 people though.

We needed something cool to finish the day with. None of us had tried this so thought it was an easy arvo climb as the sun was really getting to us at Eagles Nest. We were going to do the 21 link into this but thought it was from the ground. It starts from the ledge and is seriously overhung and required more energy than we were willing to give

Abseiled down to the semi hanging belay stance. Use the fixed anchors to the right (as you look over the cliff) of the top out of Great Barrier Reef to abseil down. This brings you down directly on top of the belay stance. Best for the follower to abseil down first and set up the anchor. Suggest you extend your abseil anchor over the lip of the cliff to avoid getting caught up. Fun climb, just a bit of phaf sorting out the belay stance.

Fantastic climb. As others said, best to rap off the right big bolt. Maybe even consider belaying still on rappel, the anchor is really uncomfortable.

Outrageous exposure for the grade, but great steady climbing on some of the best jugs around. I'd recommend rapping in off the big bolt 2m right of the corner (as you look out), otherwise you'll end up hanging in space and need to redirect the rap through some quickdraws on the way down. Definitely recommended!
