Did the Father O - Sirocco link up. Absolutely Stella line and felt like a proper first tiapan experience, mega whips and a large bit of sketch included.

2nd go. not sure it’s any harder than Father Oblivion… crux went down 3rd attempt with a high right foot and a pogo.

Started via the first two bolts of Father O. Makes for a more consistent route - at least that’s what I’m telling myself until I figure out the crux!

Had a look at the second pitch maybe one day.

Taste testing this weekend

TRS couldn't get the dyno or the mantle as the rope protraxtion wouldn't let me get super close to the wall but linked from there to the top.

2nd Shot, equipping the route ground up was a fantastic experience. Taipan really is a very special place.

Amazing climbing on an amazing cliff. Felt really close on the crux move but just couldn't quite stick the hold. Diabolical is a fair assessment of this move for the grade. The rest of the climbing was spectacular. Particularly through the bulge. Can't wait to spend more time on this wall.

Totally awesome! After I spent the first day of the trip losing skin trying the crux and then falling off the top on shot, I did it on the next day putting the gear in (very close to pumping out trying to get the bolt at the bulge-crux clipped! A very HB bolt placement). Stoked

Has some pretty substantial runouts in between thin old RP bolts and often suspect gear. The crux dyno is above a carrot with a distorted, removable bolt plate

After batmanning past first crux this was awesome. Looked emotional near the top.

1 lap on TRS. Damn. I spent almost 2 hours throwing myself at the crux moves past the 1st bolt, trying everything conceivable, but I just can't quite stick it. I cruised up the rest of it and thought it was quite enjoyable at about grade 23 (though not as good as its neighbour to the right - Father Oblivion ). Other than the tough moves past the first bolt, this is interesting, pleasant steep-ish face climbing in some aesthetically beautiful terrain.

After a few goes (and after Romain ticked it), I managed to stick the throw move, finally, 4 years after the last time I tried. Still couldn't link it but yay, progress!

First lead on Taipan. Couldn't will myself into an all points off dyno and didn't see another solution so went over to check out Father O.

Bloody hard start!
