Point Clare Crag

A small yet impressive crag offering many climbs for all levels of climbers. Well protected and offering some good challenges Point Clare is well worth travelling to for a climb.

Follow the path around to the left and up the hill

Just left at the top of the hill. 3 RB to Double RB lower-off. Caution: One of the lower off RB's is only half in the rock

Corner crack next to fatigued corn chips, good beginner Trad route with slabby face and some finger locks or jams with some crimps, tricky top out to tree belay or rapp off

20 Fatigued cornchip

2m right of hexylent, Jam and smear your way up the crack definitely a wrestle fest with crux after crux with a super fun kneebar move into mantle and tree as lower off or anchor, top rope access to the right of of climb

Left Wall

Just left of where the track meets the cliff.

11 The biggest bush you've ever seen

Start

Left of They're everywhere, up the left 'corner' of the cave, pass up just left through the chossy bush.

Edge out underneath and left of the cave, and should be able to find a dimple for your right foot. Top out at left tree.

Tying anchor

Walk up left side, path to trees above to anchor with rope.

17 They're everywhere

Through the overhang on the left and up the face. Single ring as anchor or top out and walk back down

24 Cracked Sweetness

Up through the cave following the small crack

25 Sugar lover

Pass the obvious crack and follow the rings to the roof and out up the arete

Main Wall

Just to the right of where the path meets the cliff. Obvious hole in the wall is Mr. Window

19 Takdatwidya

Left most climb on the wall. Pass the flake clipping carrots and one ring

16 Mr Window

Through the rings passing right of the 'window'. Apparently a hold has broken around the 3 rd bolt in 2012 making this a little harder and landing the victim with a T 10 #

15 Master Window

Line of carrots to the right of Mr. Window

19 One Day Wozza

Right most climb on the wall. Through the rings then head right at the top to join the anchors for Master Window

Orange Cave

A collection of overhanging U-bolted lines. One of these is Contrivial Pursuit? I think the topo's are mostly right, but please adjust if required. Wall is fitted with belay bolts.

Park at the end of Coolarn Ave, Point Clare, where it turns right and becomes Nari Ave. Find the vague track to the left of No.2 which heads up the hill to the crag. Ensure you do not park your car near the crag entrance as it's right on a corner and can create a traffic hazard. Park further down the road and on the grass.

16 Ant Scene

V4 Long Bow

Start around the corner from Falarica on carck and undercling, follow the crack up and around as it trends left ultimately joining the end of Pilum.

V10 Falarica

Sit start on heinous left hand pinch and right hand under cling or slopey side pull. Move up to slopey mono pocket intermediate before slapping to start of Pilum and finishing up the same way.

V3 Pilum

Stand start to Falarica from the first good sloper move directly up and top out.

V9 Flail

Variant of Bec De Corbin exiting right into Pilum at the big lip flake.

V8 Bec De Corbin

The first line developed here. Sit start matched on the block feature in the back of the cave reaching back into the loose looking flake moving up to gain a series of right facing side pulls then moving up and left topping out.

V7 Halberd

Same matched start as Bec De Corbin but instead of moving right from the flake, move left and up to mantel just to the right of Ōdachi.

V8 Nagamaki

Start for 'Halberd' and continue up and left to the three rightward facing pinches. Without moving left to the slot at the mantle of 'Halberd', climb directly up using a rightward facing crimp. Top out to the right, as per 'Bec de Corbin'.

V6 Gladius

Start as for Bec De Corbin and move left staying low on the flakes before joining the start of Kukri, up the flake then right along the lip into the top of Bec De Corbin.

V3 Kukri

Starting matched of large side pull make a few moves directly upwards before mantelling and topping out

V6 Ōdachi

Low start on far left hand side of the boulder before the tree. Move up and right after gaining the matchbox shaped pinch mantelling and topping out.

V3 Kusabimaru

Same matched start as Ōdachi but moving directly up.

V6 Bardiche

Start as for Odachi but at the lip traverse all the way right into the top of Bec De Corbin.

Jam your way up to the top using the right side crack. Cams to protect the start, small nuts midway, and some tiny cams under the final ledge before pushing for the top.

Build your own anchor at the top. Second to clean or retrieve anchors via the gully further East.

A short little slab line stand starting directly bellow the crack feature, follow this crack feature to top out.

V0 Great Mount Suruga

the line just to the left of 'Moon Princess Kaguya' following the thin line of incut crimps to top out.

The left most line on this boulder stand start and topping out.

V3 Whale Oil

Sit start on obvious flat crimp on the left hand side of the cave moving directly up and mantling.

V6 Humpback

Shared start with 'Whale Oil' but moving right along crimps and slopers to awkward mantel just left of the finish of 'The White Whale'.

V7 The White Whale

Sit start at the sandy slopers at the edge of the right hand side of the cave, move up and left through large pockets before dropping into an undercling and sloper on the lip. From here slap up to the top of the boulder to top out.

V6 Whale Impaler

Shared start with 'The White Whale' but slapping out and up the arete and mantling to top out on the right hand side of the cave.

V4 The Dag

Stand start directly above the engraving reading 'THE DAG' moving directly up and topping out.

Start start with hands on left and right pockets moving straight up via flat rail and undercling flake to top out.

V1 Opioid

Stand start 1m to the right of 'Opium' on crimp and undercling moving up and slightly left via flat rail and undercling flake.

V4 Penang Pit Fighter

Sit start, left hand slopey crimp right hand matchbox. Trend right along lip, jug crimp, to mantle over the horn. Beware of the tree behind you.

V5 Penang Pit Boss

Sit start as for Penang Pit Fighter, lip is out, instead use shallow 2 finger sloper pocket and power to the bad sloping crimp, gain the jug and top out as for Penang Pit Fighter

V5 Pak Choi

Sit start for 'Bok Choy'

V6 Bean Sprout

Sit start as for 'Pak Choi' but move directly up along crimps and sidepulls. Keep right of 'Pak Choi'.

V5 Daikon

Sit start on slopey edges moving directly up to gain nose feature, from here gain the sandy hueco and follow crack features to top out. Keep left of the ledge.

V5 Buri Daikon

Start as for 'Pak Choi' and traverse into 'Daikon'

Stand start on the left hand side slopey crimp rail. Following this rail up and right keeping off of the lip until after gaining the high crimp and topping out.

V3 Tai Chi

Shared start with Tàijí Quán and following the same line but the lip is in the whole way topping out at the top of the boulder.

V6 - 8 Shadow Boxing

Sit start on the right hand side of the boulder with left hand on pocket under the arete and left hand on crimpy pinch. move up and left to top out as for Tàijí Quán.

Hard to grade, need a second opinion but somewhere between V6 and 8.
