Session two:

• Back to back trousers days is a bad idea; need as much gas as possible to maximise each session.
• A few key parts of the low crux unlocked thanks to Kyle and Alex’s send video beta. Thanks lads!
• Why do my hips and legs have DOMs?? Oh, it’s from all that damn body tension!
• Grade 28 is fooking haaaaard.

Progress! Somehow pulled a rabbit out of a hat and got the sequence between bolt 5 and 6 after many goes. Triangle-pinch-crimp thing above that in my dreams however until considerably stronger.

Tough finish on red point. Might be missing something also....

Tricky clip and stopper move at bolt 5. Such a cool climb.

Sad to not get this one. Did every move but strangely couldn’t get the fingers to sink into the 2nd last pocket. Very cool movement on awesome holds. Could be my favourite prob of White Rock send pending.

Took a nasty fall on the first shot and injured my wrist, quickly ended the day

Low finger skin day, surprised so little had grown back since Thursday night! Managed to get into the second move of Left of Ferns a couple times from the start. This climb is probably at the limit of my power endurance. So much time under tension! Think I've optimised the beta but only time will tell. Leaving it until after Townsville.

Far more enjoyable than I'd given it credit for earlier. I'm excited to find out what Left of Ferns feels like (pump-wise) when doing the whole traverse.

Footslip at the top prefaced my first winger on gear, maybe picked the best route/spot for it. Now halfway down the route I opted for the easy way out. Also my first climb with crack gloves, and they are in fact aid.

Feeling pretty confident for when everything line's up perfectly. Need to be more consistent if I want to actually do it. Mental more than physical at this point. I feel like I've 'learned' how to fall on the crux because I've done it so much

New highpoint one move higher than previous, tried to clip but had foot behind rope, promptly gave up on the clipping dream and ready for the classic Despo whip next time

Long day. Started climbing 7:30am, left at 1:30pm. Paced myself and managed to put a lot of practise time into the individual moves. Slipped off going to lip on best attempt.

Flopped a good bunch of moves to just below the crux, will definitely go with more trips and good temps on the way :}

I broke a jug before the first bolt that is key for the route. I met some locals at the crag who told me that they would glue it back. Please do not climb this route until it's repaired. I have just added a warning on the crag.
