Fun problem. Worked it for an hour and got lucky just before the rain

Strenuous first move

Sit start

Timed the weather/conditions window to perfection. About 80mins from arrival to send, and it started raining when we got back to the car. Great boulder, really enjoyed the process. Thoughts on grade in comment below.

Interesting boulder. The intricacy is in the first move. Top out is tentative but as long as you have reach pretty straightforward. I don't think it has hard enough movement or holds to be V7.

I was trying a lie start and still felt possible. Will come back and attempt the sit now that I've found out about it.

Holy moly that first move is so so so hard ahahaha, mantle is fun and hard to! But first move was the crux for me woah. If sit starts are your thing mantle could be crux it’s a hard as mantle. Overall fun as climb!

With the mantle sorted (beta stolen) and a reckless disregard for any skin on my body this went surprisingly quickly.

Absolute banger of a boulder, is on par quality wise with things like the Rick White Problem, Plum etc. (i.e. if you're wondering, yes come out and try it!)

Punted the mantle several times (several ways). Other moves are fine so far. A bit short on time today, will be keen to try again in better conditions.

Absolute classic, will be a standard of the area in the future I reckon.

Absurd quality rock by toohey standards. These are quite good edges, not even slopers and don't feel like they're gonna explode after one season

Love me a juggy arete. Cleaned up the spotty lichen where holds are but still left fairly dirty. Surprisingly cool moves squaring up on cobbles on the steep face before mantling.

No harder than V1 imo. Slightly spicy due to the tree spike and wedged boulder on landing.

Pretty good, I think I can reach a few cobbles most people can't so I might sit out on grade discussions.

Very fun moves and feels kind of weird pulling and stepping on cobblestones at toohey without them exploding!

Thanks to Ben I now have all beta and have done everything but the first move, which is very close.

I had a quick play on it. It still feels very hard to me. I'm sure there's a way but I don't know it. Perhaps someone with strong fingers will make it look easy...

I spent about 2 hours today working this and couldn't figure out how to mantle it. I may be missing something but it feels really tough. I've thus altered the grade to V6-8. Someone else really needs to come and try this...

Nearly two years after I decided to check this spot out I finally sent this traverse.

Seemed hard for my height to move from the designated start hand/foot placement. Decided to pick another battle
