Onsight simul with Sam into the Grand Wall. He led and I raced behind him.

Banging climb

Took at fall on C3 .3 at the exit crux on P1.

Had to take a breather before the crux, just a bit too pumpy and sustained for a warm, esp ahead of a long day! Didn’t fancy pinging off the crux either, that wouldn’t be a good outcome! Second pitch much easier. That first pitch felt harder than some 11a’s, not kidding.

Always a good time.

Dave led P1, I led P2 as start of Great Wall. Great opener.

I don't know why we didn't just continue on and climb the grand wall. Adam was being a pansy.

Don't know how I clawed onto this one. Wrote myself off about 3 times going up the pumpy first pitch but just managed to beefcake my way through. Second pitch looks way hard from the belay but was actually really sweet. Next time need to link this into the Grand Wall!

Had to dig in deep for this one! Luckily I had a triple set of small gear! Technical lay backing in parts. Good training for my onsight attempt of the Grand Wall in September!

The bulge on p1 still feels hard

Couple of takes at the crux while I fiddled with gear like an idiot. I placed a cam that was clearly bad, and spent like two minutes hanging off of my forearm trying to fix it, then sub out another one. While I was at the crux a guy yelled up at me that Honnold had soloed the route the day before.

So fresh, eh
