Based around the city of Medellin, good climbing can be found both east and south of the city.

A large monolith near Guatape draws crowds for the ladder ascent, but good climbing can be found around the sides.

It is an offwith crack. This was one of the first routes that was opened in stone and this occasion was used to carry out the first National Climbing Meeting. It is a diagonal crack, where you have to do many oppositions with your hands, feet and back. Large protection pieces are used, but also has some bolts.

This traverse can be done in two directions:

• Starting with Avispero or Gota Fría towards the right until reaching the Guillermos station. If you want to make it longer, you can continue along that same line until Encuentro Nacional.

• Or in the opposite direction, starting at Encuentro Nacional towards the left.

It is a route where you can find falcon nests, so don't climb it in times when there are young.

Crack traverse that goes from Encuentro Nacional to the right, although most people do it in the opposite direction.

Extension of Caballeros del Sobaco

Slab. Possibly this is also some part of Alcatraz?

A couple of meter should be protected with cams, the rest is bolted.
