攀登 in Logan Brae having 攀爬攻略

Psyched to get this!! Fell off the initial crux on attempt 2, so started it again and got it together. Knee pad made the rest a little more comfy.

Got pretty close on the first attempt, but ultimately pumped out - could go next attempt if I have enough gas

First session, 2 attempts on it. Happy to stick the beta for the crux down low! Pretty pumpy in the middle all the way to the slab!

Hard bouldery start, nice knee bar rests.

Second session, went on the warm up go!

This one chewed all my skin! The sequence on the traverse is amazing (without using the resting jug on the left). Great route 🤩

Found a mutilated wasp between my toes when I came down/took my shoe off

Worked the beta again first burn. 2 attempts afterwards which couldn't hold the sweaty crux hold.

Bolt to bolt. Got to the sloper next to the underling and took a fall. Skin was fading but I surprised myself with how high I got.

First attempt got to the 3rd draw and fell second attempt took one sit at the last draw. 3rd attempt lost my power and couldn't get to the 3rd draw. Fun climbing

Last climb of the day. No skin, no send 😭

Got 3/4 up on my flash attempt then got a little pumped so had a sit just to inspect the rest, definitely another burn next time should go well

Should have gone second go, but messed my feet up at the last crimps, next lap got the feet right and cruised through

End of day cooldown lap, forgot everything so cranked off the sloper at the top

Excellent route! First lap to hang draws and getting the sequence. Sent second go very comfortably, super good!

Unbelievably busy at the crag, over 20 people?? It was available but not a very good warm up.

Took a fall on the onsight warm-up attempt after the second last draw. Left hand went to a slopey part of the better hand hold 😅

Did all moves except the big move after the third draw I think. Pretty nice movements, big deadpoints 😬

Felt harder than Dr Stein. Poorly bolted. Scary.

Great climbing until a show stopper crux. Well at least in the rain I found it hard 😅 sandbag?

On the warm up! felt good on the lower section, kept going and magic happened ✨️

Hmm, it seems one’s warmup and grade progression doesn’t really carry over from the previous evenings climbing… bugger ….

Oh well put in a reasonable effort before getting a bit boxed one move from a better hold but couldn’t sort lower body out in order to bump right hand a few inches to a better hold… Flash pump saw me digging the final few moves..

Redeemed myself somewhat with a single fall on this .. Did all the moves but similar lower body/ legs issues… Have done this before BITD…

Ooops, logged the wrong climb , was actually Creep Show… Will leave this up as I would have done thus 20 years ago…
