攀登 in Australian Capital Territory

Just did first pitch as a warmup.

I really enjoyed leading the 1st pitch, especially the slabbyness after the offwidthy chimney stuff. Spent both pitches in regret for not reading the route description before hand, and leaving the #5, #6 and #7 cams in the car. Would of been great to have. Can go without though just about. Some big hexes helped. I think the guidebooks 2 stars is more fitting.

feels like a baby sibling to spartan in the bluies, first pitch and all. did not heed local advice and found the roof a bit more cruxy than usual due to spooge nation. biggest piece was #4 and sure its fine, but if you enjoy stress free climbing, bring a #5.

After last week's fiasco, found the proper second pitch. Very pleasant!

Went back and did it properly this time...

Climbed this at night to avoid the sun, which was quite good other than the route finding being a bit harder. Really had to fight hard to send terminant corner at the end, even on second.

P1 overlap (as for Denethor) is exciting as always... P2 runout to the bolts is a traversing 20+m after the final wire. A fall would be heinous... The answer is classic Booromba, "well just don't fall off!"

Adventurous day out with a torrid approach via a chossy gully.

The opening crux move is rather delicate and definitely harder than a 14. Perhaps some useful feet and hands were lost in the past fires.

Second pitch is mostly ascending an enormous flake. One day it will come crashing down, but until then the hands and feet are pretty solid, so protect as little as you are willing.

Third pitch has an easier start to the right of the belay before working back left again. The final section is runout friction slab, although the copious lichen and moss meant there was a little less friction than desired.

Crazy adventure! With basically no crack climbing skills, this was quite a fight.

I love the cave pitches, Also found a possible alternate finish at a 16+ offwidth, also finally did the second pitch, the shrubs are a little annoying, but not too bad

Very h ard to work out which problem I did, felt soft for a V6.

Good moves with a surprisingly hard topout. Shame that the crux is keeping your feet off on the swing. Dabbed a little, but claiming it anyway..

Nice moves, not high but awkward landing. Probably good to have a spot and a couple of pads?

Wanted to get on this for ages! Not too hard for the grade, and great looking line!

Seems very soft for the grade, although good reach helps tremendously.

27 is probs a bit much. The hardest moves, apart from the final move to the anchors, were on the 25 and the move to the anchors is not only part of a 26 but apparently easier with the right beta. Since the traverse is full of good rests, this should be 26 at most. Maybe 25.

Yay, I wanted to onsight this guy and I did. A cruise at 25 could be 24.

Good pumpy climbing all the way. Should get better with a bit more traffic

A bit of loose rock when I tried it a while ago, but might have cleaned up a bit now?

Chalk sight, a little slice of nowra. Cryptic and tricky first few bolts then pumpy top section.

Not sure if Alzheimer's onsight or actual onsight...either way, I'm claiming it. I almost came off minging on the crimp!
