Second pitch fragile and mossy - just awful. Looked OK from the ground though.

Quite good actually.

A grand Bluies excursion. The first pitch is an enjoyable corner with great rock and moves. The second pitch is an interesting traverse with a diabolical move to exit. The third is a pumper with lots of holds and jams. The fourth bridges delicately up poor rock. No move is 20 and there is some bad rock in places, but overall a great route. Stays mostly in the shade in summer mornings, but take plenty of water anyway as the walk out is hot and thirsty. The #5 cam for the traverse only necessary if you're short and need to do the lower traverse. Double nuts, cams #0.5 to #4, with doubles in the #1.5-#3 range, and hexes which are most useful when the rock isn't so great.

Great climbing to start. Disappointing gear at the crux, which is weird as there is fixed gear protecting the easier sections which not really necessary.

First pitch great, but remaining pitches ordinary. More bridges than the murray.

Start now has a stick-clippable ring bolt to protect the opening boulder problem, but the route remains a fun journey up the arete.

Finally... after several attempts spread over 15 years! A clean tick!

It was probably better as a mixed route. I'd still take some gear to avoid decking into the ledge.

Fairly straight forward, not as bad as Simey suggests in his guide. Also protects well with a set of hexes, no need for big cams. Wear long pants.

They don't make them like the used to!

Some nice moves but soft rock and choked with dirt at the top.

easy to jam the flake as an offwidth and link the pitches

May as well just stayed at home and rubbed myself down with sandpaper.

Crux was getting to the crack

Steepish with wide hands/fists. Needs 2 x #4 & 1 x #5 friends to keep things calm if you're out of shape!

Skipped first pitch. Second pitch start is good, but deteriorates rapidly amongst much fragileness and dubious pro. Crux corner good fun, but then so much mank the temptation to escape early onto Tom Thumb wins.

Quite pleasant actually with loads of gear and nice moves all the way

The rings are pointless just stay on the Arete where the climbing is better.
