Ascents as Red point by Jackson Allan

Enjoyed every bit of working this route, and such a route!! 1st attempt after a while off it, conditions perfect, was not expecting the send, suddenly found myself at the chains. Thanks Andreas Aachen, Steve Holloway, Dylan Gilmore and Nate Perry for all the belays and the psyche. 1st at the grade can't get rid of the grin.

Direct start is actually pretty fun, albeit contrived. Happy to send this on second shot at the direct.

Fun route!

A proper nights sleep makes a huge difference to power endurance.

Hung the draws going bolt to bolt, and then went down second shot. Route flows incredibly well.

Satisfied to take this one down, just over a year after I sustained a back injury on a whip on this route that took me out for 3 months. Extended the final draw to prevent a repeat of that saga.

Came so close to the flash, coming off at the chains. Made it up next time. Just mega classic, technical, slab to face and an overhanging finish, rests just where you want them. So, so good!

Essentially roped highball V4, great fun.

Felt 12a to me. Punchy, crimpy, slopey.

Three stars! Really enjoyed this one.

Exploded a hold off on second shot. Still cleaning up.

Thought I could downgrade this with a kneebar, but it's more of a knee-scum that makes the move to the left hold a tad easier.

Getting further and further each week. Project for the winter.

Crux past at the last bolt, had to work it a few times. Tried the dyno to the left, and the crimp, pocket, finger lock sequence on the right. Sent went in the end with the right sequence.

2nd attempt

Had already done the crux while doing Unravelling Fukushima so RP.

Traverse opens up after palying around a bit. Worth it.

"Retro flash" - came back after 18 months, was originally too scared to take the whip while clipping the roof. This route deserves more love, some fun holds.

My first retro-flash. I top roped this rig about 7 years ago when a friend put up a TR and invited me to climb. I couldn't get the finish moves on TR back then

Repeat, each summer I come back to this and forget where all the good holds are.
