Ascents as Retreat by Noah Boudreau-Richard

We got denied access. Lead P1 in the rain and decided to call it quits considering the description.

Everything was going well until our leader pulled a sizable rock from P2, breaking their hand in the process. The injured climber and another party member retreated. Two of us stayed to clean the pitch and bring the everything down.

Worked the first crux (overhang), then retreated two bolts from the top.

Made it there, Phil took the lead on the first pitch. Fell a few times on the crux and came down. Another party went up before me and a swarm (1000?) of bees decided they wanted in on this wonderful climb. The climber made it to the anchor surrounded by 100 bees and made their way down with a few stings. I started up the first moves and got intimidated by the bees sunbathing in my hand-holds. Down-climbed back to the ground. There goes my flash I guess?

Bad bolting in the lower section. The upper section is dirty with large loose boulder. Dangerous to climb. Bailed on a tree.

Tried to get a quick run in to go and get the gear from the accident. We got up a soaking wet first pitch before the clounds came down on us. We weren't comfortable going further so we bailed on the said gear.

Idk if this is this route. I went to check inside the roof and follow the right side of it. Did have much time so I downclimbed to the ground.

Climb the first 2 pitches, then went off route for 4 pitches and bailed when regaining the ridge.

Got up to the (fully soaked) ledge) and after falling a few times on the upper dihedral lowered down.

You feel like you're always missing feet... Lowered from the upper ledge after a few falls.

Worked on the first four bolts. Didn't like how most of the climbing was done on the left side of the arete while it is bolted on the right. Bailed on the fourth.

Worked my way to the third draw (perma) and kept falling. The rain won.

Took 2 falls from slipping off of wet holds at the 6th bolt. Decided to bail.
