Ascents by Matt Pascoe having Sport CPR

First 8a flash. Had some moments where i thought I was off. Very happy to get this done.

16 shots. Bit of a breeze seemed to make it loads easier. Great movement.

22 shots. 13:25,T-27.1,H-61.5,DP-19.1. Fr. slightly greasy but crux crimp was better today than the last time.

11 shots. Hardest route to date. Hard 8a+. Really pleased the new beta worked out.

First route of the day. What a way to warm up. Was wrecked for the rest of the day but it was worth it. One of the best 7c+'s I've done. It's that good!

15th. SENDAGE!!! Really pleased wih this. Not too hard for 8a+ perhaps even a stiff 8a, even still my sequences were the same with each shot so it makes a change for me.

17th. Redpointed!! Finally fell into place. Didn't feel to bad. Just took a long time to figure out exactly what I needed to do and also get some fitness.

Full value for 7c here. Bad slopey feet and underlings never inspire confidence.

This doesn't look all that great but it really climbs so well. An early technical crux leads to sustained pumpy climbing with less than ideal rests. Last bolts seems of route and really isnt needed.

Too many shots to count. So many times I climbed to the 2nd bolt clipped it then fell after 2 moves, lowered and tried again. About 25 tie ins. The rest was a walk in the park once the bouler start was sent. Happy days!!!

Maybe 7b. Awesome move onto the ramp.

12th. Sendage. Good strong send. Very encouraing for 2nd part. D.P 10.

Simply awesome.

Solid. Much better friction today. Not 8a. Found it way easier than Jovenes Promesas(7c+)

Lucy put the draws up and sprayed the beta. I just did as I was told... Good climbing on big fat tufas. A nice crux sequence to top it off. Apparently a bit spacious between bolts up high.

Finally. Went pretty easily after all the fuss.

Nice climbing with good rests. The start is ok once figured out. The finish The same. Not 8a though. Easy 7c+ at best.

3 no hands rest without trying. Plenty more on offer.

Temps were right, gear was on. So why not have a crack. Was hanging on real tight that's for sure! Crimpy!

Tufas are now my friend.

This makes for enormous swing for the kiddies!

Fantastic climbing. Lots of temptation to pike early onto the 7a to get it done though. Stay left, stay true.

Everything fell in to place and the crux felt almost easy. Great few moves just very hard.

And done. Finally the beta pays dividends. Did I mention how soft this route Is!, HA

Powerful and finger intensive to start then nice climbing on pockets to finish.

Felt solid. Hard to see how this could have been 8a. Hard 7c. The crux is hard but only 3 moves long.

Awesome that the anchors are in the roof. Gives you a taste of the really good part.

A must do!

The easy ground takes a bit away from awesome crimping and balancy moves up high.

Wrestling a fat tufa to a tricky traverse and then a finale which isn't as good as you'd hope.Great climbing the whole way. No way this is 7b as per the guide book.

Have no idea how i got this one. A very hard read with smarty feet and under clings.

A real fight to the end. Couldn't get the extension done. Jury's still out if this should be as one pitch with some lower anchos.

Date not correct. A good climb with plenty of rests between the cruxes.

Refined beta after 1st burn. Somehiw fell but caught a hold -twice! Very sloppy climbing on my part. Powerful and unrelenting. 2 goes today

Tufa pinching to tufa stemming. A really great climb. Must do.
