Ascents in Dreamtime Wall

Started on this thinking I was doing my warm-up on The Perfect Extraction (18), it felt a bit stiff for the grade. Got it second go with direct finish.

Started on the 15, but felt this was not an obvious line and decided to move into the 17. Many loose rocks on both climbs and spaced, somtimes mediocre placements. On our first anchor we cleaned two massive boulders from the wall as we feared they might cause harm to whoever would climb this after us. Later during the climb I ended up with a piece of rock in my hand that I was holding as I was placing gear minutes earlier. At the top, we got confused what to do. I would highly suggest making your way to the anchors on the top of the wall to your left as the book suggests. We rapped down with two 60 meter ropes tied together and were able to do the rappel in one go to the ground.

Just getting the hang of sport climbing!

I can't believe I'm climbing 20s! such fun.

yeea probs 22 more than 21.. fell at the crux. hard to spot the holds.

Longest Sport Route in the grampians. Nice sustained climbing. Definitely need some endurance for this one.

Great runout climbing and crimping

such good fun - slabby, exposed. undercling match felt committing, and putting in some of the draws on the first burn were a bit reachy.

really nice technical climbing, lots of footwork.

much more enjoyable than 234 duck.

the top is pretty sketchy. big boulder on the right is not attached and balanced precariously.

shut down in the run out between the 6th and 7th bolt. should have bought a nut to place in the crack.

annoyingly, messed up the beta for the crux and fell. did the rest of it much better though!

real good, but long. fun hand jams and lay backs.

got to the top this time, but didn't enjoy it. a lot of the moves feel reachy to me, and there aren't a lot of feet.

Really lovely climbing, funky moves. Need to get more endurance - not used to climbing 40m pitches!
