Easy walk up transitions to sandy slab moves before the cramped traverse and simple exit up the chimney.

Intimidating flake but it goes nicely with protection in the pockets.

Super pleasant! And different crack / corner climbing, I was positively surprised!

Not sure I should even log this as top rope with rest, as I got shut down in the second half. So it was a top rope aid Loved the first half of this, and I could put it together with practice I reckon. But that second part is a mystery for me, so not gonna go on lead anytime soon unfortunately

19 Bad Luck Silverback - with Emily Hoffmann Mixed trad 12m, 1 Very Good

This is pretty cool! Lost the onsight because I didn't quite commit to the lip of the flake. Good mental test. The top is cool as well. Well worth doing!

Nice warm up. Different moves, nothing powerful.

Nice climb with a cool little crux , would definitely be a little tricky for the real shorties

Nice route, climbed it with gear already in place after Shauns onsight but placed a couple of extra pieces for shits and giggles

First trad lead and had a ball, nice easy climbing with good stances to place gear and boy did I place some;)

21 Go North Young Thang - with Jessica Robinson, Scrumpy Sport 20m, 8 Very Good

Nice line up a visually appealing wall. I liked the traverse right to chossy (but not chossy) mega pocket. My 6 foot frame with high feet helped me reach the pocket past the crux without too much difficulty. Small footholds to break then nice body positions out of roof to finish.

16 Chocolate Coated Parents - with Scrumpy Trad 12m Very Good

I actually really enjoyed this route (I'm a weirdo that likes stemming). Slightly dirty but mostly good quality rock. I lead the route using and checking Scrumpy placements on his first proper trad lead.

19 Bad Luck Silverback - with Scrumpy Mixed trad 12m, 1 Very Good
Shaun Shuncan Duncan
An exciting and slightly pumpy lead (especially when rusty with trad). Hard start for the grade until the carrot of relief. The flake is amazing with plenty of options for pro. Tough finish too with some small crimps to a difficult mantle (I opted for the beached whale approach)

20 Sniffing Dogs - with Scrumpy, Jessica Robinson Sport 15m Very Good

Thought provoking crux. High left foot and right body position unlocked it. Pretty pumpy for a warm up.

That thing is a hell of a climb at 21... Tricky start, followed by a very fun and interesting traverse section before that crimpy, reachy and contrived crux which felt as hard as Hotel California's first pitch. Then when you think it's all over, you have this exposed powerful finish.

I think some critical holds may have broken off at the crux since the FA, which really makes that move challenging for short people. This climb needs more traffic, a bit chossy at places, but potentially one of the best 21-22 around Sydney, get on it!

A 60 meters rope will take you back to the ground without problems.

Loved this climb. Longest wall I have ever done!

Freaked out after crux having used all energy and put foot on a RB..

Got to the cave up top but didn’t feel up the the final traverse as I knew I had already blown the climb.. sad times!

Next time I’ll get it!

A fair share of tradventure to be had. A dicey start leading to a "relief" carrot motivating me lead on into the traverse where an excavating mission resulted in a very good placement. The flake is a beauty which hides what is yet to come (can be very subjective), "A SCARY MANTLE" or as I did it, "A BELLY FLOP" with some desperate pulling on small grass that died on the scene.

Rack recommendation: A single rack of cams #0.3 to #2 (finger to hand size) cams.

Remember in the gym when you shy past the bouldering section and you hear them shirtless guys with beanies spitting beta, "its great deadpoint dude". I got enticed to this climb by the roof crack (by looking at a pic) and my aspirations to do weird stacks and jams got confronted by that same "deadpoint" stuff.

This climb left in awe of the gymnastic powerful movements choreographed with some sandy handholds that induce an insane amount of pump followed by a 'keep your head low' traverse, into another deadpoint/dyno that leads you out to the vertical face crack that involves minimal jamming.

Can't wait to get back to the bouldering section of the gym to try those deadpoints.

Top roped after Mitch led it. Powerful moves (to reach and to leave the chipped incut) and a lack of skin on my fingertips contributed to needing to rest on the first section. Following the initial crux, the grade eases considerably.

20 Absolute honey - with Mitch Sport 13m, 4 Very Good

Some tricky moves that require some thought.

23 Big Black Box - with Mitch Sport 15m, 5 Very Good

Very good technical climbing. A difficult start move leads to a couple of easier moves and a technical clip. A couple of small crimp holds allows a move to a good edge on the right from where I made a big reach to a left hand sloper and a bump to a good hold after which the hard climbing is over. The top section was a bit dirty but the holds were large enough to make the climbing not too bad.
