Repeat. 2 Laps. Truth be told, I fell off the bulge-boulder below the arete on my first lap, but corrected it on the second. A mixed bag of quality, and the arete itself is really easy, but it was still fun enough. Pretty much every hard move is escapable if you stray from the bolts a bit.
|
|||||||
23 | ★★ Fuzzy Logic | 25m | ★★ Very Good
Repeat. Been a long time since I onsighted this. Though I found it easy today, I didn't really enjoy it. Very contrived, and on average (grainy) rock. A few cool moves, though.

26 | ★★ Susie now Settled | 25m | ★ Good
Not clean. Great to have something new to do (all on gear) when you've done everything else here, but it is really contrived (and kinda hard to decide what exactly is "off route").
Regardless, it has some rad, powerful moves. With my busted wrist, there was a single move I couldn't do today, but otherwise it seemed "achievable"... maybe. |

Seaside Windjammer Wall
23 | ★★★ Hungry Eyes - with Arjan | 30m | ★★★ Classic
Was a battle. Got spooked early on with a hardish move. Really not that bad. Just commit to going out left next time!
Also there is a double knee-bar rest on this climb, which is super cool for a pure trad route haha. Arjan also found a single knee-bar further down, remember to look for that next time. Finger crux is hard! It looks like there was a fin that snapped off (probably some blown pro), so I wonder how much harder it is now? |
|||||||
17 | ★★★ Grey Mist - with Arjan | 30m | ★★★ Classic
Thought-provoking climb.

Is this meant to be mixed?

Great day out at what seems to be an underrated crag, especially given that it's still accessible on weekdays. Pleasant hike in through the bush and easy to navigate down the gully. Emerging onto the ledge is impressive - the setting feels remote and adventurous despite the easy access and comfy belay ledge. Shared stunning lunch views with a seal and couple of sea eagles. Would have explored the lower level but for a 1 pm high tide. This route we did first and it was pretty simple except for a tricky crux to the anchors.
