Ascents in Tantalus Wall

Had to aid through the fist roof move, super fun climb!

Such a classic climb. Used two points of aid, Until the final 10c sport pitch, where I pulled on nearly every draw.

Instead of a sendy sausage sizzle we are having hangdog hotdogs for lunch.

32c, why is it so hot

Quite committing climbing that rarely ever lets up. It seems feel both low angle and steep in that youre pumped but youll probably still need to be quick-footed on a fall. Alot of 'granite footwork' required. Pretty mentally exhausted after this one. A fallen cam from the 4th pitch led to an interesting cam extraction from a tree with the local natural stick clip.

Expressway variation with Olek. Sent all of the moves with a few falls.

Bullshit bolting.

Roof is hard at the grade and crusty.

First 11d is a total sandbag and is closer to 12a/b. The second 11d is soft.

The offwidth on the original looks like it would mean most people do this finish. Fantastic position!

Really really good. Lots of great bits and pretty continuous at the grade. Tried to get on this 15 years ago but it wouldn't stop raining!

Touch soft for .11d but Catharsis Crack is a total sandbag!

First 3 pitches only again. Tim backed off the heady RP techy layback spice and I certainly didnt have the cojones to try. Whoever put up this route is an asshole lol.

This route is fucking nails. Aided quite a few sections probably only pulling off a handful of .11a moves on lead the entire day lol. Flaring razor-thin pin-scars - not a gimme for the fat-fingered. I would recommend taking at least #5 and #6 and possibly doubles of each. You could even leave the #4 at home. Fun tension-traversing into the headwall cracks - looking forward to sending this fucker this season with a few different partners.

Hooks off the ground like a boss. All fun and games aye.
