Approach

From San Rafael take Ballofet Avenue and head towards the Valle Grande along Cubillos Street, follow Route 173 towards El dam and continue along the road that goes to the Atuel Canyon, passing the Fishermen's Club (Club de Pescadores) on the lake. After travelling 19km we will arrive at the powerhouse of the hydroelectric dam number 3 and continue 2.5km until we come to a concrete road bump, which marks the Cañadón entrance with a dry stream. We enter this walking to the right following the cairn way, when walking about 250 meters we will find with the equipped walls.
