Fun, low admin multi. Joined 2 ropes for the rap to avoid trailing a line, which worked well and allowed another quick run up Slaughter Falls afterwards.

Felt plenty more than ‘mild’ peril on this climb. Funky rock. Interesting. Unnerving.

I led p2&4. Very slow on p2 as pumped silly. Seconded the first and third (23) pitch cleanly.

Lots of good climbing in a great location. Lead P1 and P3. Long and pumpy P2. Fingery and balancy on P3 with an unlikely single-leg-squat manoeuvre in the middle.

Really good fun. Every pitch is excellent. Third belay pitch has good exposure. I would do this again.

P1 (clean Lead ), P2 (clean second), P3 (1 rest after dyno, before main crux - Lead), P4 (clean second). Way better than I expected, maybe one of the best all-around routes I've done at Pierces. Second pitch is amazingly long and pumpy, with only a few hardish sequences. Third pitch has about 6m of bloody hard moves (I think it would be hard to onsight without knowing the trick move at the crux). Mostly good rock, awesome position, cool moves. What more could you ask for?

A really good climb down this end of the pass and worth the effort. Tricky start on the first pitch. Mega long and funky pumpy second pitch, it just keeps going!! Thin and techie crux on the third pitch with the best rock on the route. Hard start to the fourth pitch but then great death by ironstone top head wall.

A pierces pass must do!!
