Linked pitches. Steep and airy through the crux moves. Seemed to be some extra bolts between this and The Eyrie above the cave.

Despite there being carrots on the line I went with a trad only ascent as I was wearing approach shoes. Not too bad if done like that, and good route finding reveals all the holds needed to keep it at the grade ....

I'd go with the 2017 guidebook and call the second pitch 16. Also... beware running the 2 piches together. My 60 metre rope just made it to the nearest manky tree as an anchor.

First pitch doesn't have bolts, and sparse gear but climbing is very easy. Belay is a new u-bolt and carrot. Second pitch initially up through 3 carrots and tried to the left of the 3rd bolt, but wasn't my cup of tea (horizontal hold was very polished). Went down and to the right and found it really great juggy climbing through the overhang. Back to the left for a #1 cam and then a bolt before the final very easy headwall with some gear before topping out. Belay from the block 5 metres beck where there are 2 older carrots and a new u-bolt

This is not a sports climb. Down low trad gear, and not much of it (and not all good either), and then one ring to the anchors. Second pitch has about a half dozen rings, but the last bit at the top is run out above a ledge, with not many trad options (I traversed left a bit to find some and ended up coming up directly under the carrot abseil anchors). Still good fun, but not advised if you're only just leading the grade.

I rate this highly. Lovely. Better than Another Man's Juliet. Spaced but very good gear - mostly cams. Book seems wrong - go right of the overhang, not left. Grade - once again the grades on this wall are out of whack - BS should be 15 like Another Man's Juliet. Set Piece Battle should be 14.

This is a nice climb, the gear can be hard to find in places but it is all there. Probably not a good climb for a beginner at trad.

No gear; all idea. Light on the right gear for this one. Many bollard runners to get you 2/3rds of the way. small cam would be nice at the orange wall. Wires & cam belay at 1/3 up.

Not quite the 50th Anniversary ascent but we're getting close. Must have been a classic back in the day. still holds its own imho though lots more pro available with modern gear. Climbed as one pitch in approach shoes. Would be an even better experience if done with old school gear and mountain boots ... Classic.

Fun (but short lived) climbing on the arete in p1 and a decent wack of exposure on p2. Sort of a strange one though - I found it too ran out to be beginner friendly, but maybe not interesting enough to entice me back out there to do it again.

There is a line of glued in Petzl fixed hangers directly below, and above to the left of, the belay cave, compared to the topo in the guidebook that goes left and up the arete to the cave. The cave has belay chains and an extra carrot, which means the whole thing is now a retro-bolted sport route, no doubt to prevent beginners from coming to grief.

P1 - protection a bit tricky to find and fairly runout. some tri-cams are handy but not essential for the horizontal placements. P2 - not as scary as i was led to believe. there is a bolt about 1.5m above the cave and one 1.5m from the top. looped an 80cm sling around a large chicken head on the arete in the middle. the climb has a bit of spice to it but I don't think its 3 stars quality.
