Ascents of For Flake's Sake

Actually really fun! Underestimated it, monkeyed around like a child, and got myself pumped. Couldn’t rest properly on the heel because of the knee injury, and punted on the last move.

Would make a good warmup for the harder routes on the wall though

Eye catching awesome route, solid and not quite the warm up i was after, nice moves

Interesting climbing with a good rest before a strong finishing move. Solid at the grade without feeling sandbagged.

I really can’t see this last move as a 3. Brick set up for the finish, not a warm up.

What a journey - definitely coming back for the send.

Sweet climb! 3 Dimensional with a little bit of everything style wise to make a super enjoyable accent. Theres even a little bunched up no hand rest on the second ledge if needed.

Such a cool climb!! Got it second shot. I found the ledge terrifying but worth it.

That last draw sucks to put on. Shoulda skipped it. Oh well.

Had a bit of an epic on this one at the end of the day. Will go back to it later.

Well it was nice in the sun when I started then the ledge got cold.

Deserves another star. good line and punchy finish.

2nd shot. On the first lap I dawdled to the last bolt (about grade 20 to here) then got lost in all the chalk and balked at the move. Essentially a cruisy warmup to a surprisingly difficult final boulder-problem. Great position, good feature, average route.

"cool-down" route of today. Quite hard

Alright, this is getting ridiculous. I should've set my sites really low and aimed to red-point the exit rungs instead. Hehe. An entertaining steep flake, with a tough boulder problem finish that sure as hell wasn't getting onsighted today, but went easy enough when I figured out what to do. Not a bad warmup route for next time.

really enjoyed this one... not sure how much of that is due to the awesome position it takes!

Re-warmup lap. Felt hard today, really hard to drop the clutch for that last move.

Getting better with a few repeats. Warm down lap today, still had to punch at the anchors.

With a few more repeats this route would be really cool. Climbs the obvious flake in the middle of the wall with some fun moves and a pumpy finish. Second shot as balked the big move first shot.
