Ascents in The Dairy having Beta

this felt v hard, couldn't make much progress past the first move

Bit confused where the final 'pocket' was, there was a little slot above the lip so finished there was actually a mission to match because my fingers didn't fit well. Still, this felt a bit soft for a V5

Second climb for this route, Much quicker and felt easier then before. The feet are good all the way up

Started below the suggested start flake. I'm a scaredy cat but managed to onsight this just fine.

One slightly crumbly edge up high detracted.

Made it all the way up to the second bolt, about 3 or 4 moves away from the finish.

First ever full trad climb, and it was done clean.

There are no bolted anchors at the top, trees at the back are an option. Walk off the top.

Had a go at leading it, got the first 2 bolts but couldn't get around the corner to finish. Seconded after Joel and managed to piece it. Placed a nut on the first attempt once we got into the alcove to protect the first bolt but didn't use it on repeat attempts.

Powerful moves on small holds.

Good training loop. Did three laps, one anti-clockwise. Be careful of a potentially long fall on the left side of the tree if you don't have a spotter!

Committing moves at the start over good crimps with a potentially big fall (left of the tree) if you don't have a spotter!

Wicked! Finally this problem has seen a second ascent 15 years after Paul Martins FA!

Fantastic! Solid V4 in my opinion. Topo is a little misleading, actually heads diagonally right after halfway and tops out at the centre. Whole left arete is out of bounds.

Sooo good! Took 4 days of effort to tick. Thin, desperate in a couple of spots. Now starts with right hand on sidepull in chimney and left hand on good high crimp on face due to busted handhold.

Amazing line! Tricky opening moves lead to easier but committing ground with a balancy move around 3/4 height.

Watch out for the bee hive in the tree above the climb!

The move from the big flake onto the smaller flake 1 move up feels dodgy, but there's little alternative.

One of the best problems on the hill

First few moves very physical. Found it hard to stop my feet from cutting away.
