Gotta get the 1st bolt on this one, after that it's a lot less stressful.

I had to practice the first bit on TR before I was confident to lead this one again. But then it was a breeze to clip the first bolt. David 2nded.

Couldn't even do this one clean. Nothing like rocking up at KP brimming full of confidence and be totally demoralised in no time flat.

With Damo. The whole cliff to ourselves, this N.Y's morn. Pretty pathetic, but left wrist is bad. Got there with some severe cheating.

1 hopeless attempt at PMT (what the F was I thinking?), one reasonable attempt at S.C., but cldn't stick the crux hold 2x, then finished up SRO.

Again to clean the gear.

Had to practice this one on TR, after giving up on it again - very sequency moves.

Woohoo!!! Finally got this sucker clean after 2 years. That does a lot for my confidence! Unfortunately Damien ripped a finger nail & had to bail.

After Grant. Still couldn't make that crux move clean - damn! :-/

Spotted this one quite fortuitously when I was going to lead SRO. Barn-doored at the crux while trying to stick the curx move. Clipping the 5th RB was reachy & committing for me, god knows what it'll be for a short person. I feel this one is the equal of Wounded Knee=18. Dave belayed & 2nded.

Johan missed the onsight on this one, being a fair bit shorter than me, he had trouble sticking the crux move. I missed it too & got it 2nd shot.

Still couldn't pull off the crux move on this one. David tried for 15min but could not reach the secret hold, and ended up swinging around to SRO.

Still couldn't putll the crux without barn-dooring.

With Dave. Yet again it eluded me.

With OPG. Nothing special about this one. No pro for a lead.

Some 14! Came off at the crux & ripped 2 pieces of gear, ended up horizontal, almost kissed my belayer! Put in 6 pieces next time, that took care of the sucker!

With Dave. Took a fall at the crux & ripped 2 pieces of gear & ended up horizontal almost kissing my belayer, thank God for the bolt. Put in 6 pieces on the next shot, that fixed the sucker! Some friggen 14!

The doctor says: "no pain = no gain" & sure having lots of that :-(

After Grant. Awkward in the damp morn. humidity.

After Damo. Another nice low grade route for people to test their wings on.

After Grant. New RBs look good. Tricky move from 1st to 2nd.

Adam belayed, sticky in the heat & the ledges were greasy.

With OPG. Finally made it.

After Gareth. This was a breeze! Just flowed - a pleasure.

Some holds have come off since it was bolted, so i think the grade extra is warranted. Good lead by Dan.

Justin belayed me on this one and gave encouragement.

You gotta stay focused for this one, the big runout to 2nd bolt, although I didn't stay true to the line, but wandered into SET. Street Ruffians looks interesting, will give that a go soon. Dave belayed & 2nded.

4 rests, one quickdraw grab. Should be ready for Whistling Kite next week.

One of my first leads at KP, after Crap and Malcontent.

With OPG. Again, one of the first easy ones I was able to nail. It took time to build up my arm strength from scratch, then I got a bad case of tennis elbow.

Well, compared to the last 2 trad leads at KP, this one is quite nice, good placements. Although I'd say it's more like an 8.

Always good gear, but forgot the extenders = not good.
