Ascents in Skidrow Buttress

Not sure if this is the exact line I took but I clipped 5 bolts and it looks close enough. Great movement on good friction rock.

Had the top rope in from the skidrow descent so had a burn. Great moves and sequences. Fell maxing out on the lay backs as I didn't quite have the body and foot placements dialled.

Climbed as 2 pitches. I am still not a good jammer so the bottom half, pitch 1, was a pathetic hang dog effort.

Pitch 2 went clean and involved two amazing traverse sequences that thrilled and delighted me but unfortunately terrified the seconder, who hates that stuff. A good day for exposure therapy.

Very fun climbing with good gear.

Offwidth is hard.

Did it in two pitches. The first pitch was mediocre in my opinion, with very insecure jamming, and I fell twice. The second pitch though was excellent, and the climb deserves two stars for that pitch alone. I particularly enjoyed the imaginary toe cam that somehow works so well.

I wonder where this discrepancy between the guidebook and the crag came from. It seems too soft to be a 17.

Good climbing! Climbed on gear placed by Jim because I was daunted by the grade, but it would actually be pretty chill to protect myself since the crux is bolted

Hadn’t really looked at guide. Great moves to a literal nails crux but I think I could do it, though I was doing a karate kick to the right after matching on the thin rail. Sticking the thin rail was the only move I didn’t do.

Did the offwidth to left start because it looked cleaner. Thesarvo has it down as grade 11 which surely must be a typo

The second deathrow kris and i have climbed together! It was meant to be. Skirow, deathrow, dagenham and no standing. Great line up of pitches id not done before. Just got sucked out left at the crux of this one. No standings crux i am yet to figure out but the crack up high is delightful. How open do you leave the tuna can lid to filter the oil but not let any tuna out?
