Felt strong after the cross and was able to set up the high close heel before the huge left gaston move (first time sticking it!). Wasn't quite sure what to do at the end but did a bicycle where the right heel was and locked off left to reach up to the horn.

Putting the draws felt extremely hard. Then every successive attempt felt better and better. Kept falling one move after the crux, not sure why. Really proud of this one! Great climb, jump on it!

yay got it! way more offwidth than i remembered, which may be required for the greenpoint bc there is no way you are placing gear in that crack while laybacking? not bc thats hard, which it is, but i found the gear to be WAAAAY in the back

contrived with an oh so tempting hand jam right at the crux. managed to contain myself and climb this thing without bridging, giving me that sweet sweet sweet 23 tick! very surprised. tho knees were used in that sorta inelegant way people say you are not meant to do. and to that i say nonsense. climb with your knees folks. be the change you want to see in the world.

Felt very under-recovered coming in so focused on some refinements. Linked from the crux to the top (2 hangs). Love how everyone I've seen on this climbs it totally differently. Left the draws on (only 1 draw at the anchor FYI).

Session 2: First move is absolutely dialled. Worked a lot on making that second move with extra pads to prevent my head rattling around in my noggin' too much. Finding the micro beta to make it consistent was challenging, finding the heel placement, the right toe and latching the hold with hips tucked in the dead space really had me worked. I don't think I can cut on the second move at all due to my height so I'll have to really hit it with precision and tension on the send burns. Slowly but surely the climb is coming together. Next session will probably be dyno focused as it's still very much in my mind and I feel mentally stuck on it even when I visualise the moves. Hopefully with enough throws it will feel second nature.

Good link to bolt 4 on first attempt and then spent ages finding beta for the last move of the crux. Settled on using Rf on a small edge below the rail + LF back in crimp slot. Did all moves individually on second go despite being totally wasted.

What a wildly cool climb, a little bit spooky too

	20	★★ The Last Wave - with Lucas Low 1 28 Second lead by Lucas Low well protected, but still didn't fully trust the gear. we backcleaned the first bolt, then spent ages figuring out the hard mantle. thin sandy crimps and awkward lock offs all the way up. broke a small hold. slightly damp from the sea breeze. 2 12 Sport lead by linna almost bailed on the move from the anchor. real reachy and bare. thought that was the crux but the line of three bolts 30cm apart led to yet another handholdless mantle. ended up horizontal on the half a metre wide belay ledge watching the waves crash into the rocks hoping i wouldn't roll over the edge. bring runners to save you some rope drag around the corner 3 10 Aid lead by Lucas Low hard all the way up. at this point i was so exhausted from all the desperate mantles. pulled on the draw coming out of the exposed overhang. thin jug, might break off soon. pulled on lucas through the last mantle to top out. warm sunshine on my face and a lovely belgian guy across the fence interested in our cliff scaling adventure. epic half day out. got lost on the approach down some muddy gully, clearly we can't comprehend instructions. feeling queasy from the rusty gear. have never done so many mantles on one route. for sure a bag full of sand. two stars for the scenic view and maybe less for the (scary for me) route. enjoyed bondi after, forgot how beautiful this side of town was
