Ascents in Lighthouse Lower having Beta

Well, it's a good adventure, and very accessible - at least as far a rap access climb can be. However, (at least in the conditions we had on the day) I'd give it a little harder on the grades. Maybe a break down of 25, 24, 24. Safe to say, it's very hard to onsight, and extremely spoogey. It beat the crap out of me and Minus. The first pitch is a stunner, the second punchy but slightly unpleasant, the third great as well, but a frustrating onsight. I broke 3 hand holds and 2 foot holds.

Awesome day. Rapped this route all the way to the ground and had a swim. Great climbing back out. A humid day made the rock a little slippery but awesome rock very different to the upper.

Great route for a hot day. Rap down to the bottom, have a swim and then climb back out!

First two pitches are great and pumpy for the grade - perhaps a tad overbolted. The last pitch ('Beside the Seaside') is runout despite the addition of two new rings.

Pre wedding. Way better than it looks.

Before Monty's wedding. Super long pitch (18 clips!) which gradually steepens. You will pump!

Absolutely awesome. Wow, that bottom pitch is one of the best I have done at the point. Combine it altogether and its even better! Good to be there on the FA with ya Neil!
