Ascents in Arche de Noway having Beta

One of my all-time favourites. So good.

Damn hard. I'm guessing in the mid 11s... Dragged up a stick clip on the second attempt to make it to the end.

Went more smoothly than normal -- perhaps because I was TRing rather than leading.

Oh, the pockets.

Always a fun climb that just keeps on going.

Two very different crux sections.

Friend bailed on lead, so lowered off. I took over lead -- TR some not usually climbed rock to his high point, then climbed the crux section.

Full value 5.9.

got to the blank face with drilled pockets. so sunny could not see feet!! hah.

Beautiful view at the top. Used second pair of anchors to rap down again since they are closer to the gully and hiked down the rest of the way.

The wind ripping down the gully filled all of the holds with debris, which meant cleaning each hold before moving further. Otherwise, this climb is awesome.

Finished someone else's lead when the bailed at bolt 6 -- just before the pockets crux. So, mostly TR, but lead through the crux.

Classic, nice sustained, long climb.

Hold broke first time I lead the route, and I fell. Got it clean this time, since no breakage. Long route, of solid climbing, with an early and a late crux.

Would have been a clean on-sight, but a hold broke on me, and I took a fall because of that. Doh!

A nice face climb in the lower bits, becoming some fun slab with little pockets near the top. Well-bolted.
