Ascents of Le Retour des Loups-Garous

Lead this to avoid scrambling to set topropes. Went to first anchor.

Crux went easier than previous time.

Getting polished.

As a popular "easy" sport in the Canyon, especially as it is close to the entrance, this isn't entirely surprising. But the crux is probably closer to 5.9 now than 5.8-.

Lead this to get to the start of "Litige"

The one tricky bit... I stepped up right foot first instead of left. Oh well.

Not a fan.

Friction crux went far easier this time.

Late in the day, not my proudest lead.

Picked the wrong bad foot hold, instead of the right bad foot hold in the crux section and slipped for a whole 1/2 m lead fall. Oh well. Did the extension, cause the no-hands slab is fun.

Enjoyable climbing, with two sections of thin moves -- to the first anchor, and from the first to 2nd anchor.

Made a stupid mistake and fell after the first clip. Otherwise a fine climb which asks for a little creativity and is fairly well protected. The slab section at the top is probably the hardest bit.

Would have been less work on the lower portion if it was dry.
