Ascents in Camel Wall

pumped out just before the anchor, d'oh! maybe do this as the first climb of the day, not the last. std rack but a BD#4 was handy for resting on my failed onsight.

Third bolt is the crux. Took us 3-4 tries to get it. Satisfying.

Opening is pretty nails hard for a 10b, maybe something broke?

Didn't top out (1m) from end, fell 2x

The start is a little tricky traversing under the roof and rounding the Arete. It's possible to place a #5 C4 two thirds the way up.

Excellent, sustained, layback crack. A nice long route.

A fun route with great protection. I veered right to the easier 5.7 variation and ended up clipping the anchors on Reg's sport route.

Short and fun but with a bit of a cryptic crux. Climb easily up 3 bolts until you meet a small roof. Use sidepulls to gain a shallow left hand sidepull pocket. The chalked up rail to the right deceptively lulls you in; Find the 2 finger, 1 pad crimp on the left of this rail to pull on and then bump your left hand up to a nice juggy side pull. Work through the juggy but strenuous crack to pull the roof. Finish on easier face climbing.

Ontario guide book says there are two finishes, one to the right of ledge where tree is, which makes it a 5.7 or continue to the top which makes it a 5.9. Easy to protect. I lost my first nut on this climb, which was later retrieved by another party!

3-move wonder, but the easier stuff is fun enough that it doesn't detract from the quality at all.

Quality of route was diminished by slippery/tenuous nature of the crux move. Also the mass of spiders at the small roof wasn't great

Bolting is a bit odd with very sparse placement at the bottom and a bolt every few feet higher up. Pretty sustained and fun route!

Noticeably more difficult cutting right to get to the anchors. Tricky move at the roof but the holds are all there.
