Ascents in Harold's Wall having Beta

Went for the onsight. Fell off crux. Too gassed for roofs today. Quality climbing though

I dunno.. not that stoked on how this climbs - pretty average overall. Might leave it.

Hung the draws. Sent first shot. 5th attempt overall.

Should go next session.

First attempt was basically to try and get warm after having a break, 2nd go went well. Definitely lanked one move which I could have climbed nicer. Fun route though

Tried this about a year ago and couldn't quite get the crux, the whole climb felt much easier. Could only get one try as had to leave but will definitely try it again next time

Tried to climb nu energy but ended up on this - very confusing experience.

Not quite today, climbed into the sun it felt like got quite blinded out of the roof

Breezy climb. I’m still bad at finding holds so probably made it harder than it needed to be.

Needs a clean/more traffic & would be really nice. Enjoyed the onsight, engaging face climbing. Watch the lower off - sharp edges!

Bit of a dab climb because of the proximity of the opposing face that you can use to bridge out & avoid any difficulties.

Went up to suss the third pitch. Didn't end up trying it today.k

Hard crux down low. Easier after that. Can do all the moves, will be hard to link.

Hard crux, was feeling pretty tired, would like to try again as found up to and after the Crux okay

Very enjoyable after a shocking first attempt, basically wrapping myself in the rope at the second draw.

Thin cruxy sequence. Very happy with beta for this one. Will go back if I get the chance

Hung the draws. Got so close on second attempt - fell on last move before the easy climbing. Third attempt was too faffy. Beta is super refined now though. Surely next session..

Hung the draws, and then had one burn. Made it to the 5th bolt. If I climb it efficiently it will go fairly easily I suspect.

Bit dirty. Decent crack climbing, would be a grade harder if you couldn't jam.

Solid Benchmark for the grade. Paper thin crux can be avoided but shouldn't be, because It's a great sequence.

Easily a three-star route if it weren't for the choss. If it sees a bit of traffic it could become a crag classic.

Every bit as good as projection, only more pumpy.

Decent climb out of a choss pile. Should've flashed it but last foothold broke at the very end.

Short and bouldery unlike most other routes here. Make sure you go up directly through the crux to get the full minging experience.

Easily one of the best routes in Queenstown.

Double toe hooking, flying heel hook, the Rose, knee bars, sustained face climbing, semi-spicy run outs. This route really has it all. Unfortunately some key holds were soaking wet today.

Maybe not, but the face (choss pile) really shouldn't be bolted. It adds a ton of rope damage and ZERO value to the route. Put an anchor at the lip and it's a fantastic climb.

Fell off the last couple of moves. Had a lot of self doubts about sending this route, somehow felt possible now.
