Ascents in Anatolia as Red point or First free ascent

I think this is very fun for a 5a, could possibly be a higher grade but there's only one slightly hard section. The rock is beautiful and the view is fantastic. Very nice for a low grade.

Must do in this sector! First third with delicate technical climbing on small holds and feet. Then a third to recover a bit on good pockets. Final third starts with a little tufa crux and ends in a pumpy finish.

Sharp finger pockety start on grey stone followed by a rest cave. Then continues on orange cauliflower stone with good pockets until a boulder crux, before finishing with great views over the valley.

First burn of the day, 5 tie ins total

Possibly more 8a than +, great route though

This climb felt like a spiritual journey for me. Working out the dance moves was fun & it was my first 6c red point 💜

Endurance

Pulled much harder then I wanted to… stiff

Mean classic! First half: 6c on tiny feet. Then nohandsrest into a spicy céüzian testpiece for the grade, there's a lot to exactly how you take the potato-y tufa. It's not so much about power or endurance as it is about staying calm. It seemed impossible 4y ago but now I did it with some last-day-of-trip-magic, after I drove down to the market for a nailclipper though. Crimpy!

Just awesome! It has all in it. Techy beginning, no hand rest, crimps, mono pockets, tufas, bouldery crux with different betas for different climbing styles, good rests, controlled foot work and an awesome top to mess everything up after all the hard work you've done. Tried to steer clear of that huge ledge around the middle part and a jug on it to make an ascent cleaner (IMHO it belongs to a different route so would go for a mono instead)

Repeat for warmup.

Still hard for the grade...

Cool crimpy and technical sequences coupled by a power endurance tufa section towards the top. One of the best lines here for sure. Trust the footholds and it will go.

Damn such a good line! Third go overall! Soft but so worth it!

Aptly named but one doesn’t have to try too hard to enjoy! Amazing sustained moderate techy climbing with hard boulder crux guarding the chains. Deserves a better reputation!
