Routes in Monterey Bay and Salinas

Same route as Subterranean Tango, but starting on the boulder above the cave, to the right of POD.

1. 5.8 20m angle right past 3 bolts to double bolt anchor in alcove.

2. 5.6 10m angle left up the easy slab.

While it's tempting to link pitches, the rope drag is ludicrous without double ropes.

Bring cams for the middle of the X.

Climb up the north side of the Tiburcio's X to the top of the rock. Route start can be tricky to find. Use MudNCrud forum Newly Established routes post. This is 195.5

Climb the north face of the Camel.

Instead of the direct start, begin in the chimney to the right to get to the first mini ledge.

Start from the south side and climb up the arete on the north east side to the top of the pinnacle. It appears that some holds may have broken since the guidebook description and the rating might be higher than originally published. Be gentle on the flexing crux holds.
