Climbed in snow, got to the top of the protected pitches at night fall, and spent a grueling 9 hours of descent/hiking back to camp. The most difficult 20 hrs of my life. This climb is to be respected more for the approach and descent than the technical difficulty. The views even at night were spectacular. A true adventure! If I were to do it again I would make sure and camp either before the climb or after.

Did this Car-to-car in about 16 hrs. A very cool climb along an amazing feature. Interesting runouts, but only on 5.4 sections so its not too bad.

Simuled the route in 2 pitches. I linked the first 2 .5 to the optional belay after the friction crux since i got horrible rope drag when my rope got stuck under a flake. I belayed and then my partner climbed through, briefly re-racked and then lead to the top.

Date unknown, need to figure it out. Climbed with Bill. Beautiful long hike in, really fun climb to get you to the top, and a long hike out (longer if you are Bill and missing a toe nail at mile 2 of 10). We were both burnt to a crisp by the time we summited. Expect long run outs between bolts.

Super long day. I suppose the advantage of summiting at sunset was having the whole dome to ourselves. Descending the cables by moonlight was unique. Approach was tricky to find. 3rd class slabs above the route were scarier than the runouts. Stunning views. Found many knob tie-offs. Kept the harness on for descending the cables with biners and slings (I can't believe hikers do that in running shoes).

Great day out, feels like soloing when you have 1 bolt in a 50m pitch! The crux was going down the slabs sandwiched in between tourists! Scary shit!

Alt pitches. First on route by about 15 minutes after getting up at 430am. Back in camp 420 pm. Climb took about 3 hours. Wished it went on longer.

A seriously long day, but a stellar climb. O/S odd pitches. Clean 2nd even pitches. No real hard moves, but so many pitches of juggy-dike friction slabbing with (literally) 20m runouts. Simply tonnes of fun. 2.5hrs to get to the start. 2.5hrs to climb it and 3 hours to descend back to the car. Glad we got a really early start, as by the time we were halfway to the top there were 10 groups queued at the base.

A great day-out with spectacular views and the dike is such a unique feature. The chains/steps had been lowered/removed from the hiking route that week, so we were lucky to get on the route first, and even had an hour on the summit by ourselves. Fantastic. The crux is maybe just-before (BD#1 cam) or just-after (bolt) P2 belay, both well protected. Or, half-way up P5 where the dike stops & starts again (BD#0.5? in finger crack).

Labour Day w/e... oops... very busy. Left the valley at 5.30am but reached the base of the route behind 3 groups that left at 4am. It was a slow day, but good views, and thankful we weren't one of the several groups stuck at the base watching! The run-outs are big, but the climbing is straight-forward, keep a cool head.

We left Camp Curry at 04:30 with food and 3l of water. The hike in along the Mist Trail was easier than when I hiked it in April despite having more gear. I wore my base layers but had to strip them off by the time we reached the first bridge. Our plan was for Aaron our guide to lead the pitches with Tim and I seconding. The hike to the base of the climb took about four and a half hours. Once there we skipped the line and Aaron blasted up the first pitch soloing to the first belay. Tim second
