Tue 22nd Mar 2016 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
18 Fluid / Epic Link Up Trad 30m
Fantastic sustained climbing. That traverse into Epic's crack was classy.

20 Cock Crack Trad 38m
Man this was an adventure! Most sections were easier to offwidth than stem, I found. Well protected, absorbing, and looong!

22 Old Guard Trad 40m
What a rude/incredible introduction to blank open-book corner stemming/laybacking haha. Had me thinking hard to decode the blank sections. Loved it, but ended up continuing up the last rotten section with the wrong gear. Pulled out of the chimney onto the face, only to stick my face next to a hornet nest. Without thinking, I jumped down and swung off a jug, and next thing I know, I'm hiding in the chimney!

Epic day out that got made epic-er by a mixture of poor planning, and psychedness! Got to the top of P2 at 4:30pm, and faced with the fact of if we continued, there'd be no turning back, we opted to go for it What we didn't know is that it'd get freezing and that freak winds would come to throw us off Swinging on etriers through the roofs, un-usable numb fingers, frozen bodies, bolt plates getting pinged off by the wind-carried rope, and nightime summit views were all part of the fun

Fri 4th Mar 2016 - North Burleigh Bouldering
V3 V2 No Fear Boulder 4m
Also very smooth.

V3 V1 Don't Fall Boulder 3m
Smooth as line!

19 Matador Sport 15m
Short but takes you on an adventure

20 Truancy Officer Sport 15m, 4
Maeji onsighted this on TR! So stoked and awesome to watch from above. He was giving it everything but thinking really well.

18 Death of the Moss Monster Sport 15m, 5
Cool barnacle hold!

Wed 24th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Main Wall (Ferris Cave)
25 Grape Hour Sport 22m, 8
Didnt read it all perfect, and lurched for a jug or two, but pulled it off! Not as straightforward as Reality Dysfunction. Had to pay a lot more attention to sequencing on this line, and got way pumped. Such a journey. Fantastic. Sone bolts were very far out though? :S

Wed 24th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Ancient Mariner Buttress
17 Mr. Curly Sport 10m, 3
Really enjoyable start Was do good watching Tierney improve on this.

21 Diana Ross Sport 15m
Pretty fun. Doesn't climb where you expect it to.

19 Ancient Mariner Sport 12m, 5
Nice Hard to read for me!. Pretty pumpy.

17 Creature Without a Brain Sport 15m
Beautiful arete start. So sick seeing Maeji and Tierney smash this.

Tough!!! Totally misread the crux and gassed myself and lost my flow for the rest of it. Somehow nanaged to pull through, so didn't get to to experience this route in its fullest.

Tue 23rd Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Bells Line of Road & Chifley Rd Bell Supercrag Sunnyside
24 Troc de l’Ile Sport 15m, 7
25 The Reality Dysfunction Sport 20m, 12
Couple of tricky sections but pretty much good holds and flowy movement all the way! The topout had a sting haha.

Sport 330m
An awesome climb with some top pitches (1, 2, and 7), but in overall not as epic as I'd hoped. Might be spoiled for exposure cos of Tassie, though this was awesome fun Pitch 7 had some awesome continuous climbing. I do not recommend linking P7 and 8 - rope drag going to the anchors far back in the cave was insane.

Wed 17th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Logan Brae Main Cliff
22 Room With a View Sport 15m
Just fun long moves!

23 Alien Signature Sport 19m
This climb was a giveaway with all the ticked holds haha. Bloody great though. Love how the dynamic totally changes with the top slab.

23 Creep Show Sport 18m
A bit more sustained than its neighbor.

Wed 17th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Janicepts Area
18 Amen Corner Trad 30m
A spicy runout and thoroughly enjoyable climbing interspersed with good stances!

21 The Janicepts Trad 27m
Awesome. I want moreeeee. Nor very straightforward.

Wed 17th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Flake Crack Area
17 Flake Crack Trad 53m
Oh man I felt like I was at Yosemite on the flake! This was awesome! Went all the way to the top anchors.

Wed 17th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Mount Piddington Eternity Area
22 S.S.C.C.3 Sport 33m
Barndoor central. Got really confused as to what to do with my feet a couple times in the arete at first haha.

18 The Eternity Trad 22m
Fantastic! Such a perfect line.

Mon 15th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Main Wall (Ferris Cave)
23 Lyptus Sport 23m, 8
Now this was hard. Didn't figure out the LH wrap beta on the onsight so ended up with an insane deadpoint. The wandery slab up the top was my fave bit

Mon 15th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Mount Victoria Area Boronia Point Ancient Mariner Buttress
14 Squashed Parrot Sport 18m
I totally didn't figure out the 14 way to get off the ground! Pleasant!

Mon 15th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Hot Flyer Wall
23 Hot Flyer Sport 25m
Fantastic. At one of the jugs after the top crux I looked around behind me at that classic mountains vista. That's when it hit me that I was back in the Bluies! Yeahpaaa!!!

Mon 15th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains
Blackheath Area Shipley Upper Grey Slab
13 Trinity Sport 18m, 5
And I thought this one was the 17! Hahaha.

Mon 15th Feb 2016 - Blue Mountains

Quite enjoyable on perfect holds. Thought it was Trinity.

Tue 26th Jan 2016 - Flinders Peak (limited access)

Wasn't expecting much, but the crux sequence was surprisingly awesome.

Sun 24th Jan 2016 - Frog Buttress

16 Integrated Injection Logic Trad 15m
Didn't read the description before I hopped on, and it's bang on: couldn't stop smiling through the rooflets!

19 Hollywood Rattlesnake Trad 18m
Those were some insecure flarey fingerlocks haha. Cooool climbing, though! Very fine balance with the locks.

Sat 23rd Jan 2016 - Flinders Peak (limited access)

Happy with this warmup onsight. Really enjoyed this. Looks much harder than it climbs.

Nice to get some crackclimbing in!

V2 In between Boulder 4m

V2 Climb 14 Boulder 4m
Can't really remember much.

Sun 17th Jan 2016 - Toohey Forest
Northern area Tree Fall Boulder
V3 Guilty Like Me Boulder
Fairly committing move!

V3 Guilty Like Me Right variant Boulder
Took a bit to figure it out, but then realised that it was a carbon copy of the line to the left haha.

Sun 10th Jan 2016 - Flinders Peak (limited access)
The Secret Cave
22 Never Ask the Moon Sport 25m, 8
Really enjoyable climbing. Did it to get used to the rock.

23 The Nightmare of Milky Joe Sport 20m
Didn't enjoy this as much as it's 22 neighbour, but still have fun. Not great holds!

Wed 30th Dec 2015 - Brooyar
Eagle's Nest
18 Up a Rat in a Drainpipe Sport 20m, 7
Really cool climbing through that runnel on some great devoid-esque wafer-flakes. Shame it's dirtier higher up, but all the holds you need are clean enough

Trad 90m
A good intro to Ben Lomond without getting into a marathon crack, I reckon. Last pitch was superb (before the choss).

19 Ramadan Trad 80m
Holy crap was this sustained! Some funky footwork helped me through this! Almost a chimney, but not really haha. Incredible line, and a great finale for my trip.

Trad 80m
Unbelievable crack perfection in that first half. I was climbing the top crack, while still laughing in disbelief of how awesome the first section was! I highly recommend this!

Sun 20th Dec 2015 - Hillwood (private land)
Matto Grosso The Leviathan
21 Yuddy Boody Noo Sport 15m
22 No Antidote Sport 15m
This, Yuddy, and Floating have sort of merged in my head now. All I remember is that there were so many little moves that it felt like 30m of climbing, not 15. My brain just about exploded on this, as did the front of my calves on those tensiony slopy footers. Wish we had more of this style back home.

Sun 20th Dec 2015 - Hillwood (private land)
Matto Grosso The Wailing Wall
19 Chip Chimney Sport 11m
23 Wrath or Revival Sport 13m
Start was hard, then it layed off a little. Pumpy for the length, like all the routes here it seems.

20 Another Lazy Autumn Day Sport 7m
Sat 19th Dec 2015 - Frenchmans Cap Area
Frenchmans Cap East Face
19 The Ninth of January Trad 160m
Was going to get on The Lorax, but hearing the story of a climbing team who retreated off it the day before put us off. Maybe next year. Did this instead to smash out a shorter one, but ended up taking us longer cos of uncertain routefinding and us being unaware of the scramble-death topout! Pitch 2 was the standout. Bring double ropes! Would've been hell with a single.

Thu 17th Dec 2015 - Frenchmans Cap Area
Frenchmans Cap South-East Face
17 The Chimes of Freedom Trad 270m
(Sorry Gene. Couldn't be bothered with descriptions on my phone!) Brilliant. Just brilliant. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not even most people, but I highly recommend it for those with a head for adventure, spaced gear, and exposure! What a route, though. I discovered that a small part of me enjoys the delicacy required when climbing on choss (like the first and last couple pitches.

Fri 11th Dec 2015 - Freycinet National Park
Hazards Cliffs Hazards Main Wall (Mid Level)
18 Trucks Have Wings Trad 45m
Getting through those bolts was slabby!!! Haven't climbed proper slab since Girraween a year ago. Awesome to get back into it, but the twin cracks for the next 35/40m is where it's at.

Fri 11th Dec 2015 - Freycinet National Park
Coastal Cliffs Harlequin Buttress
18 Harlequin Trad 28m
This was a bit of a fight. Cool and interesting cracks, though. What a contrast in dynamic from the climb to the topout.

16 The Moai Escape (The Moai Eascape.) Trad 60m
Linked pitches in approach shoes and trailing my backpack through the chimney!

22 Blunt instrument/Burning spear P2 Link-Up (Blunt instrument linked into Burning spear p2) Mixed trad 35m, 8
I love climbs that take you on a journey! Going direct at the finish was diceyyyy.

Sport 95m
Me and Omri both agreed that the 2nd pitch was the nicest pitch of climbing we've done. Couldn't stop smiling and laughing up it! It felt like I was climbing on granite! Blank, but featured. Wouldn't have been surprised if P! and 2 were graded up to 23, though. Was in a way bummed that the dyno move wasn't a forced dyno. The sequence to that hold, and from the bucket to the anchors really made me think!

Fri 11th Dec 2015 - The Paradiso
22 Sponge Bob Sport 12m
24 Thunder Birds Are Go Sport 25m, 9
What a crux! haha. Tones down from there, but enough to keep you going!

22 Too Tall Oxen Sport 32m
Nice climbing the whole way. Pretty continuous climbing from memory.

21 Shock Wave Sport 13m, 5

Interesting moves! Just have to trust your body position on that steep section.

Fri 6th Nov 2015 - Kangaroo Point
Right Main Wall
21 Junket Sport 17m, 5
The last run out had me in a mental headlock, but wrestled out of it and finished it off. I liked the climb, but nothing standout. Dirty and a wet patch from the rain.

Fri 6th Nov 2015 - Kangaroo Point
Left Main Wall
22 21 R Pre Menstrual Tendons Sport 18m, 5
I feel like this is pretty soft for the grade. Really enjoyable climbing, though, and fairly well protected from the 1st bolt!

Sat 31st Oct 2015 - Mt Tibrogargan
Summit Caves
15 Overexposed Trad 120m Classic
Awesome day out with Zac linking up this with Carborundum Chimney. Bloody classic for the exposure and positions alone. Can't believe how almost every belay is in a perfect cosy little cave. Some of the cave belays could do with a bolted belay, although microcams did the trick. Highly recommend if your head's feeling solid. Led all pitches. Deserving of at least a star. Superb.

There's a chain belay atop pitch 4 that wasn't in the guide ... perhaps placed to rap down Remains of the Day.

Man this was waaay nicer than I expected! Enough gear to keep things sane, and comfy chimneying make this into a classic.3rd pitch chimneying through the bowels of Tibro was awesome.

Sun 25th Oct 2015 - Mt Ninderry
Ocean Vista Area
21 Choke On Your Sushi Sport 15m, 5
The spottled rock is deceiving. Really cool climbing, and amazing friction. Feels strange topping out onto that ledge, then starting another mini climb.

Sun 25th Oct 2015 - Mt Ninderry
Caves Area
23 22 Toils Of A Gamescore Bore (Toils Of A Gamescore Whore) Sport 15m, 6
Didn't read this well, and ended up climbing the top section on tiny crimp-bubbles, when apparently there were bomber sidepulls all around? Who woulda known. Just made it a bit more of a fight.

22 The Korova Milkbar Sport 20m, 7
Quite tricky to read. Great moves on awesome holds.

Wed 21st Oct 2015 - Kangaroo Point
