18 Freeloader Sport 28m, 9
Fantastic slabbing goodness. Not the easiest to read in places.

19 Catastrophist Sport 20m, 9
Lovely dovely.

Sun 11th Apr 2021 - Frog Buttress
East of the access track
19 Onlooker's Omelette Left Side Trad 35m
Feels good to be back! Have had a dodgy finger (bouldering gym injury) for 3 weeks. First time back on rock in a while, and stoked that offwidths and cracks are still accessible!

This is a great offwidth, btw, requiring proper offwidth techniques and without too many face holds to cheat on. Well protected with big gear, though beware the high big block. Best to use big bros in the top block of the LS crack if you're planning on falling as the sideways force exerted on the block is less with a Big Bro

21 20 The Alchemist Sport 22m
Beautiful slabbing at the start! Cool thoughtful movement the rest of the way.

24 Apocalypto Sport 20m, 7
Great climbing albeit close to Blood Moon.

24 Blood Moon Sport 20m
Thought provoking with a tricky start.

Line of the crag imo! Didn't see the Thunder Dome though!

20 Outfox Sport 25m, 10
For some mileage. Good chossineering practice, but with every route here (this one especially), choose the holds you use! You could pull off 3/4 of the holds on this route if you're not careful and end up on a ledge

23 Sherlock Hemlock Sport 17m, 7
These 22s/23s on the left are the best routes here imo. Nice rock, minimal chipping/gluing, great climbing!

22 Expialidocious Sport 17m, 7
Great fun. Tricky slab mantle!

Tue 16th Feb 2021 - Urbenville
Spot X
23 Extra Shot Sport 18m, 9
Great and tricky to read in spota

24 Hot Sex Sport 35m, 14
What a journey!!! The slab in particular is a sweet position and beautiful traversing

25 Tito Traverxa Sport 28m, 13
The sister climb to Hot Sex, and even better due to the lack of a sketchy start! Another beautiful lime that takes you on a pleasant journey yet threatens to spit you off when you least expect it.

22 X-Men Weekend Sport 12m, 6
Juuuuuugs! I'm not too worried about the flake though it really should be pinned back for peace of mind.

23 Botox Betty Sport 12m, 6
Got suuuuuper pumped at the start but fortunately managed to stick it together to reach the jugs.

Wed 10th Feb 2021 - Kangaroo Point

Cheers for the rebolt. Really enjoyable climbing that isn't straightforward, though a bit reachy at the end.

Mon 8th Feb 2021 - Girraween
Mt Norman
18 The Other Dimension Trad 65m
Another classic line. Top section climbs like an easier Scimitar. Beautiful Cunningham's Skink living in the crack, so be sure to look where you jam! Also saw a lyrebird and another skink near the base. What a magical place.

Mon 8th Feb 2021 - Girraween
Second Pyramid
17 Late Afternoon Flake Trad 50m
Incredible climbing reminiscent of Watchtower Crack. Don't be intimidated by the offwidth.

Was sick watching Kyle's inspiring lead of Verglas.

Mon 1st Feb 2021 - Mt Ninderry
Ocean Vista Area
22 Little Buddha Sport 12m, 4
Found this tricky to read past the 2nd bolt. Fun climbing nonetheless but not without loose rock. Pulled off a jug just before it gets slabbier. Makes the move the the mega jug harder but with an easier sequence.

Mon 25th Jan 2021 - Mt Tinbeerwah

8 8 R Genesis Sport 30m, 7

14 Degrees Of Freedom Sport 35m, 7

19 Avatar Sport 40m, 9 Very Good
The headwall is dreaaamy!

20 The Sacred Snakes of Tanahlot Sport 75m, 17
Each pitch has a distinct spicy section each. Top pitch has some beautiful climbing up thin columns. Super enjoyable! More of this please

17 If Trad 30m
Great climb! Fun wandery climbing. Bit spicy at the grade, so bring your head game and small wires if you're leading around the 19 mark or lower. Was great to see Kyle flash Androcles in fine style too, in the heat!

Mon 23rd Nov 2020 - Whinpullin (Minto) Private Land CLOSED

Climbing through the roof onsight was tricky, going for random holds blind. Great route!

Linked in with p2 for a fun adventure. The top pitch is good value for the grade! Great day out with Issy and a great bunch of people!

16 Nerangutan p2 Sport 20m
Cool juggy steepness up high with views of the dam!

15 Attack of the Marshmallows Sport 15m, 7
Noiice. Bit of choss negotiating! A few optional jams up high.

19 Party Girls Sport 20m, 7
Rad little corner start. Cryptic top

Climbed straight up the short starting wall on jug. Going up the corner seam to the L looked fun.

V2 imo, but really really good!

Sun 23rd Aug 2020 - Frog Buttress

24 Suicide City Trad 20m
Another great one1 Try not to fall at the crux though ... this was a bloody fight in a dress and with a gear sling! Got pumped silly but got it. Claiming the onsight, though for full disclosure I did boulder up 3 metres, placing no gear (there is none haha), jumped back down to the ground, then sent it. Onsight or not? What do you think? gets popcorn

Trad 240m Good
Very nice slabbing in the style of an old school adventure. For some reason the runouts took us by surprise when we should have taken note of the date of the FA and been expecting them haha! Loved it. Sorta did a pitch of Japhlion instead of the 3rd pitch then got back on track afterwards

Also - Got lost on the approach and rapped off some random bolts, got our rope stuck, then had to climb some random crack + runout slab on a single half rope to get back to the anchor! Will log it as a new route at some point and see if it has been done before. Wasn't half bad.

Wed 11th Dec 2019 - Freycinet National Park

One of the best pitches I've done. Hands down.

So good! Doesn't deserve the R rating imo. With double ropes this route protects quite well, really. Em loved the delicate slabs, too!

Sweet! The route's over pretty quick, although the moves are sweet!

Sat 30th Nov 2019 - Mount Buffalo
The Cathedral
20 Sultan Trad 65m Classic
Very cool climbing the whole way! Still not used to the subtle granite feed so was a little stressful navigating the roof! Don't need the bolt anymore with big gear. Traverse was cool as well, following the weakness. The final pitch to the summit was also classsssyyyyy as!

20 Sultan Variant Trad 15m
Imo this is the way to go! Cool splitter crack climbing which links directly into the second pitch and reduces rope drag if linking the first two pitches.

Fri 29th Nov 2019 - Mount Buffalo
The Gorge - South Side Angels' Buttress
17 Where Angels Fear to Tread - with Dave Cook Trad 230m Classic
What an adventure classic!!!! Cruisy yet engaging the whole way samples of hands, fists, offwidths and chimneyjng along the way, with a technical crux to make things interesting! Enjoyed every moment of the line! Highly recommend this to anyone who likes crack climbing, and my only advice is that stacking hands in the wide sections takes away alot of the thrutch!

Tue 19th Nov 2019 - Mount Buffalo
The Gorge - South Side Burston's Crevasse
18 Caligula Trad 60m Classic
Increeeeeeeeedible! My experience of this line was somewhat spoiled by my inability to let go of the fact that my backpack was going to thwart my ability to exploit comfortably resting in the corner at the start haha. I just couldn't accept it and kept getting annoyed at the pack getting in the way! A good lesson in dealing with minor annoyances I guess haha. Going around the roof was epppic, and it took me a while to ball up and execute. Just incredible! Love this Buffalo granite! Oh also for memory's sake, didn't bring enough big gear so had to make an anchor for Dave to ferry gear up to me. Doubles of 3s, 4s and 5s recommended for maximum comfort unless you want to walk gear

Mon 18th Nov 2019 - Arapiles
Organ Pipes Area Organ Pipes The Red Wall & Toccata Wall
19 Tannin Trad 35m Classic
Uber classic! Classy moves the whoooole way. Stumbled at the route finding at one point, but found the way. Was rad watching Em seconding this!

Tue 20th Aug 2019 - Mt Barney
Leaning Peak
17 The Barney Couloir Trad 360m Good
As grand a day-venture as you can have in SEQ! More like 370m as rather than the 300m description. Incredible slab climbing on the whole route, apart from the crux section up a rotten corner with uninspiring gear. Proud of pushing through the mental battles on this one.

There is some awesome multi pitch slab potential to the left of this route which will be just stellar climbing. An awesome contender for ground-up mixed routes I reckon.

3 hours hike-in, 5hr20 on the route, 2.5hr hike-out.

Mon 10th Jun 2019 - Pages Pinnacle

Awesome weird, cryptic, slanty climbing!

Sun 19th May 2019 - Frog Buttress
West of the access track
22 Equality Trad 40m
A long ascent. I need to work on my commitment when I'm unsure about the climbing, and just be happy to run it out about good gear! I think I'm overly measured. This is actually a great climb. The off width section is great and good OW footwork is helpful, then from the handcrack to the top is classy as!

Gear was mostly good, though tricky to get gear in the off-width section above the shrub stump (bomber) and most of the gear until the hand-crack is in loose rock, but I think it's still good.

19 Hello Sailor Trad 20m
One of those lines that gets easily overlooked - by myself included - when it is actually really good. Fun climbing the whole way up, with an unexpected off width section that isn't too bad, and a cool position right before the anchor if you go up there arete. Great!

Mon 13th May 2019 - Frog Buttress
East of the access track
19 Monty Python's Flying Circus Trad 25m Good
This is awesome! Lower corner crux is super balancy and interesting. The top corner crack above is classy as hell! Only used passive pro this lead for fun.

9 Three Nuns Trad 20m Average
Good fun but not very memorable.

12 Doctor Pats Crack Trad 10m Average
Harder than I was expecting and I actually had to think on this. Would be good for beginners to practice on I guess?

Mon 13th May 2019 - Mt Maroon
East Face
22 M2 22 M2 Valhalla Aid 45m Good
Quite a memorable lead. Plenty of gardening, a bit of loose rock, some nice face climbing, good gear that you definitely need to search for, and a bloody fantastic 15 degree overhanging wide hands corner crack finale that is absolutely epic ... and then the roof! The roof totally will go, but looks diabolical. Was fun aiding out the roof on those bolts, but will need to replace them before trying to free the roof.

Could go with inverted OW techniques> powerful under-clinging? kneebars? bunched up chimney-ing? No idea, but keen to find out!

17 Burning Man - with Ryan Siacci, Me Mixed trad 250m, 14 Good
Great fun! Bit of bushbashing, and some nice sections of climbing. No memorable moves or sections, apart from the slab on the 6th pitch, but a great quality adventure nonetheless! Ryan did P1, P4-5, P8. I did P2-3, 6-7

A lot of the rock on the South Face seems to have eroded with an incut in them, as opposed to the north faces and Desperation Wall being sloper - maybe the tops of the columns lie in the south, and the bottoms in the north?

20 Catharsis Trad 20m Very Good
Damn this is pretty bloody nice if you're a fan of off widths! I haven't stacked hands on many OWs at Frog, this was a beaut, and a bit of a fight at the end!

20 Footloose and Falling Free Trad 11m
Really classy tic-tacky face climbing that had me looking for my next bit of gear. I reckon this is a good prelude to the face climbing of harder routes like Impulse and Epic Journey.

Great RPs. Tricky thin crux where its best crimp crumbled in my hands, and sort of contrived at the top where the corner is just left almost within reach, but good climbing nonetheless.

Turtle Rock
20 Wading Ape Direct Start Trad 6m
Very hard starting move, pulling off not much for your left. Shawn thinks a key crystal may have fallen off. Super rad climbing all the way through. Delicate, slightly heady to the second, a cool dog's doodle hold, and jugs. Fun!

22 Millions Of Dead Punks Mixed trad 13m, 2
Maaan this is sweet! Traversing off right over the void was sick! Stellar climbing to the top with sick moves and great holds. The top was pretty spoogy in the rain. Looking forward to coming back for the route that links into this from the ground next to New Paths.

17 (Unknown 4) Sport 15m
Felt harder than 17 in relation to Wading Ape and Tintogale. I would put it at 18/19? Super fun regardless. Cool handless, one-legged squat rockover up high!!!

12 Trev's Arete Sport 15m
Good holds, sort of exposed in a weird way, stepping off the boulder, and well bolted. Probably the best beginner sport lead I've seen at Girra.

20 Tintogale Mixed trad 10m, 2
Delicately thin moves down low, and some friction-scoop trusting for the hands up higher. God I love slab climbing. It just feels like you're floating, and it's almost all in the head!

Biggest climbing fight of my life. Literally shaking with a mixture of fatigue and adrenaline in the final scramble. Got overscared through the crux, thinking that my last two wires were crap and scared of the potential screaming whipper awaiting me. Turns out the top wire was ok.

Beautiful moves, clean wall, great gear, pumped arms, dry mouth, sore lungs. Sorry for the noise pollution. Epic.

On a fine, chilly Sunday on the way to Kozci with a legend named Frosty. What a great way to spend a day, and what an incredible crag! The position and the unique rock are outrageous. Looking forward to spending a couple weeks out here in future. The day was made all the more better by the wildlife: 2 male lyrebirds making calls to eachother (either fighting for territory or one was a gay lyrebird trying to pick up the other), a brief high-flying wombat who now less briefly is laying deceased on the gorge floor, a few peregrines, and a mumma goat and her kid that came charging around the corner to see us, and stumble over their own hooves when trying to turn around and flee as soon as they saw us. Oh yeah, and did I mention the climbing was stellar?

We had time for one more climb, and I wanted to hop on this, though almost retreated to do the 22 instead as it was an easier tick. Decided to pull my finger out, disregard the comfort of the 22 and go for it. Prouder of this decision than the onsight, strangely. Great moves. Hard to read. Slightly committing.
