Climb 49 of 50. Arguably the most humid conditions I've ever had the displeasure of climbing in. Totally cooked. Strung pitches 4 & 5 together. Some spoogy wet stuff on pitch 4 again. I agree with other commentators that Pitch 4 is the crux and feels at least 17, possibly 18. Perhaps a hold broke at some point?

Climb 24 of 50. Stoked to climb with OJ again. Rested twice on the 3rd pitch, but I reckon if I go back soon I'll get it, now that I have the kneebar beta from OJ

Somehow forgot how scary this two weeks ago and decided to do it again to take wife up???

Got to tibro 9AM to scout the base of crags from desperation to celestial wall, all fire and brimstone. Retreat to ghm for garlic bread & beers till afternoon.

Leisurely sunday approach back to carborudum wall, pretty good buzz going, start P1 @ 420PM.

Everyone in QLD has it all wrong with the earlybird starts, late arvo is definitely the go. Less melanoma, less heat, less stress.

No linked pitches or gear in back of chimney, much more enjoyable after learning lessons with big rope drag last time. Only required chimney protection being piton runners and chockstones…

Top out 820PM, 4 hours bottom to top. Soft grade 11 reckons Lia.

Hopefully we are now ready for satans smokestack …. Maybe after waiting till Winter….

First time that I climbed the last two pitches and the 24 variant.. Idk about p6 - it's very wandery and chossy and a pain to abseil from. I would - like last time - finish after p4 and abseil back down.

Lots of bushbashing and route finding with this climb. Higher grades felt easier and lower grades felt harder than what they are marked as. Had a fun time with the rappel

Fun arvo had on the Eastside of tibro.

Love this climb. Epic moves + some interesting choss. p3+p4 are the standouts.

Only two pitches due to the incoming rain.

Fun route up often uninspiring rock. A hung up rope on the rappel down Airtime made for a lame end to the day. Hitch cord was the MVP — asymmetric prusiks rock!

Late afternoon adventure. Great climb. only did the first 3 pitches due to time.

Definitely the best climb on this section of cliff (aside from the burly moves past the 1st 2 bolts). Recommended.

A bit strenuous.

I think this climb is pretty classic tbh. Excellent, thought-provoking movement to be found in all pitches. Route-finding is fairly straightforward with all the FHs. Natural pro on P3 and P5 were good but sparse, which is standard Tibro fare. P4 runs though a watercourse so there was lots of lichen and some of that nasty slick black rock.

I read Jack's comments on climbing this route in a 3 with a 70m rope and can confirm - highly efficient!

Logging this as a redpoint because I faffed around on the crux of P1 and lost the onsight, lowered to the ground, and did it clean. I led P1, P2, and P5. Dayle led P1 and P4, Jelena led P3.

every pitch is a test for the grade. epic climbing. there is still some loose rock on pitch three after all these years. And maybe we should think about removing the small boulder at pitch two.?? thoughts??
