Forgot to log, a great route but a horrible day climbing for me, hot and still in holiday mode. P2 shot up too early missing the good side pulls on the first attempt. P4 bailed on the awkward step up, and struggled up it even on second.

Could not stop sneezing which is pretty standard for this time of year but in hindsight I think this route may have given me covid as I lost my sense of smell and taste shortly after topping out… Took some big fat wingers on the money pitch, first one would have been 5m+ as I got some kneebar out right in a vein attempt to rest, but in attempting to rest I completely pumped out??? Would not recommend this kneebar… although would recommend the one further up to clip the crux draw!!! That one is bomber!!! Felt so pumped I was gonna vomit… also last pitch very hard… could not find good rest… guess you just gotta go for it?

Plan was to lead P1 and P4 with Al to lead P2 and P3 - after the pump I sustained on P3, Al led P4 too. P1 and P2 were good. P3 was so incredibly pumpy, I had many rests as second. Some good rests throughout, but would need so much more endurance to clean this pitch. First moves of P4 were fine after working out beta, but took a while to work out best way onto bulge. From there it was slow with several rests. Very niche beta for me. Once completed, the pitch didn't feel too tricky, but working out the moves was a slow process. Overall, amazing climbing - will be a long while before I can lead/clean P3 and P4.

We did the triple in a day. Started way too late ended up at the anchor before the last pitch of Aphelion in the dark with no moon in sight... Of course we didn't have headtorches. Leading the last pitch in pure blackness was a rediculous experience; climbing onto the cave, very nearly dropped the last mantel. We somehow made it through unscathed. Was very happy to be back on the ground after rappelling into the darkness below. Thanks Cory for the stoke and for the "Character building"

Good god, what a mistake it was to try the third route. It was probably (definitely) the number one dumbest thing we’ve ever done. We started this one way too late and had not anticipated it getting dark while we were still on the wall. The sun set while I was seconding the 3rd pitch and no head torch made finding holds almost impossible. As amazing as this route is, I would absolutely not recommend trying to climb in pitch darkness. It was only thanks to some makeshift phone torch engineering (dangling it from a carabiner clipped to the helmet strap), plus familiarity with the last pitch, that we were able to get to the top. We then had to crawl through the bush at a snail’s pace to get to the rap station. Luckily there were no mishaps or injuries on the way down and we made it out relatively unscathed. Lessons learned.

Glad to have returned to try this again after the very average time had on Voyager a few nonths ago. The crux pitch was stellar, with interesting stemming and movement in the corner, with just enough rests to keep the pump from overwhelming me. Pitch 4 provided a pretty spicy finish, with probably the toughest moves of the route.

I sure spent abit of time hanging like a dog today so the ascent type selection was incredibly intuitive this time. Yim and i arrived early with kobi whom we unceremoniously ditched in the carpark to start up aphelion. All swim up till the crux of the 3rd pitch. 6 or so wobbly crux entrances and i was on the return journey to the ledge. Devastated as i was, yim proved yet again hes only prepared to try hard when theres an opportunity to 1 up me; almost flashing the whole pitch, only to grab the wrong victory jug. We made it to the house at the same time as the boys. I had 2 goes on black ops which i was stoked to top both times. Sequencing was tricky for my crack-centric mind where order and delicate movement are quashed by mindless getting-stuck-of-bodyparts. Yim jumped on tom and mobys proj and allegedly logged his 3min and 0.5m worth of attempt as 'working'. Dont believe everything you see on the crag people. We also jumped on hungry beast, a 20 that steve apparently onsighted. Nice one steve, its a toughin, we certainly did not. Team of 6 of us rapped down clemency (i only mentioned my ascent of clemency 27 times this time) and accidentally found ourselves reunited at the highwayside kfc. We were all destant.

Pitch 1 was sopping. A metre a minute. I timed it. Redpointed the money pitch though, which totally made the day for me. Overall a brilliant Saturday adventure. Sadly dropped my ATC after belaying Marty up pitch four. Crag booty now. Also, an 80m rope DOES get you down Clemency in two raps. Utter perfection.

Sick climbing. Four decent rests in exactly the right spots granted me the send. Honestly so close to pumping out multiple times. Did some of my best route climbing here today. Even more impressive was Marty onsighting it on second with no chalk. Phenomenal stuff. What a legend.

After doing troposphere a few times, we wanted a bit more of a challenge. This lived up to the hype! Easy adventuring first pitch, great bouldery 2nd pitch. Long and pumpy 3rd pitch but with great rest spots then another bouldery 4th pitch with some awkward mantles. So good!

Great climb. P3 definitely the money pitch. Can rap pretty easily with 1 x 70m rope. Stretcher rap 3-1 with a couple clips down to keep you in.

Had a great time today. Lead the shorter pitches and seconded the longer pitches, which suited my style. Had to rest in the top section of pitch three; the backpack made the overhangs super pumpy. Very happy with the onsight of the final pitch. Walked in with Wen and Marty, and met them again at Halfway House, them having topped out Troposphere only moments after us finishing Aphelion. Absolute perfection. 👌

Woohoo, love this climb. That third pitch was beautiful. It flowed. Got my arms warm but at no point was I in danger of coming off. The rest half way up was so good. The fourth pitch was great until the last moves.. Backpack and wind weren't helping, nor was the throw with the wrong hand. Oh well, super proud of Iain for onsighting it!

Missed the bolts for Rubicon, decided to do Aphelion p3. I went too far left at the start, sat, then finished clean and loved it. Then Nick cut up his hand, decided to bail. Fun to rap down the overhanging pitch.

Nice early start with jarred, topped out before 10 even with some faff here and there. Pitch 3 was interesting, lots of sidepulls and laybacking up some of the most unique rock I've come across on tibro. Unfortunately didn't get it clean, had to sits to work out how to get past the sloper. Also didn't get the final pitch clean - did not want to whip and slam jarred into the bulge just above the pitch 3 anchor. Overall a very good route, keen to go back and climb it clean.

~4 hours give or take. Awesome rope solo day out. Systems are feeling good, swapping systems between easy slabbing and harder steep stuff to maintain efficiency I'm feeling safe on both steep stuff and easy slabbing. Hard slabbing and face is something I haven't tried yet, and I think my systems would not be perfect for it. Feeling more comfortable on the steep stuff, but defs a bit gripped up there in parts. Was glad for the other two parties on the wall to keep me company! Thanks guys
