Involuntary solo from the first belay after rope for stuck on The Bludgeon (had to clean it myself, even though it was quite obvious that the rope would get stuck). A little nervous in the rain, to be honest, probably soloable when dry. Great moves, great climb!

Gear is grim after the roof, scrambled up to have a suss at the belay. Perfect offset placement on top, roof can be wrapped, the line follows straight from undercling span to a small jug over lip. Easy climbing to a short powerful crux.

After Trinity Slabs went so well, I decided to lead something a bit harder. The crux was well protected, but then after pulling it, quite run-out for quite a ways, including some solid climbing. The Oak tree belay is dead, but still seemed pretty solid.

Since following, decided to pull straight up the vertical wall above the 3rd belay, rather than following the route (which goes left into a groove, then back right). Felt like it went at about 5.9/5.10a maybe F5C. Maybe 4 or 5m of serious climbing.

Took a good 3m fall onto the slab and a 5m roll down it on the first attempt as I was too far to the right. After a little body repair I got back on and finished the route properly. Felt a little easy for an E1.

Done both with and without the direct finish. Direct is more upper body strength and less technical. Possibly why I perfered it? Great climb. Certainly worth doing. Protection is solid and easily avalible. Last time I climbed this I was belaying at the top in the hail.
