Unsure what the overall ascent counts as since I seconded the money pitch. Grade 20 traverse had spice, Stas may have linked into the arete slightly early, but I feel that's where the crux was anyway (excluding my inability to mantle) very hot in full sun but you gotta do what you gotta do when your friends leaving at midday...

Ciaran sent one of my quickdraws flying into the abyss, only for it to be greeted with a log off of a gum tree that spiralled down next to us at the first belay.

Lots of back cleaning for rope drag meant i was confidently bricking it on the traverse. Blueies white whale ticked!

2 TRS laps on pitch 2. 1st lap clean 30 minutes. 2nd lap climbed too fast 2 falls 22 minutes. Mega fun

Made sure to take out all the draws on the traverse to ensure Martin Weir was in proper flight or fight mode. He fought great. Absolute brilliant day out, I’ve never been so pumped.

Clip all the bolts heading down during the second and third abseils (towards "Point A" from the book, beginning of the first pitch). Otherwise you will end up floating in space.

Exposed climb, Randy Rabbit feels like a walk in the park.

Used 25 quickdraws. Started climbing around 12pm and the route stayed in the shade the whole time. Perfect conditions for a very hot/warm day.

I almost got poopy pants on the abseil and struggled big time following Rick up this. Great exposure!

Had an interesting time abseiling in, used a fixed 70m to avoid multiple raps. Not sure if this is good beta though as we managed to core shot the rope 💀

Second pitch is the money! Keen to get back to the wall and try some of the other routes.

If pump wasnt a thing this pitch would be a 21. Unfortunately however, it is a thing and it has a remarkable affinity for populating in my forearms. Yim tim and jim (jack/me) set off to not repeat the plethora of day ending errors marty and i made last time. Error 1, 1st rappel rope stuck: almost happened again, needed a double person tug to free it. Error 2, dead air trap on rappel 2: almost happened again, just swung into a bolt, not quite sure how i could have done this cleaner tbh. Error 3, lost on pitch 1. Yim seemed to have no trouble finding the way. I must have been on drugs in february. We did almost cock up by getting a stopper knot stuck in dead air at the bottom, luckily it got trapped to the wall by the anchor. That would have fucked us royally. 2 ropes does lend some insurance in this way. This sport multi proves itself again to be a logistics heavy operation. The traverse pitch dished out a draw grab for me and an unlikely epic for tim who almost took a pendulum off the p1 anchor. Ask yim to send the video! (pretty dog). I was abit nervous about the big pitch but technically it wasnt hard, just managing the pump is quite tricky. Putting attention into creative rests tested my patience and ultimately i resigned myself to 2 or 3 sits. Tim pulled onto the ledge next, visibly delirious, claiming "fuck 25s at ben trovonia tomorrow". Yim still somehow had energy to do 10 pull ups off a flake on the top out pitch (wtf).

Nice and clean this time, despite the devices not playing ball. Top mantle and top pitch still a tad wet but otherwise prefect conditions

Bloody intimidating to rap into this one. Extremely overhung, you need to clip most of the draws to stay in. First anchor was higher than expected, so i passed it and had to faff back up. Freed everything except a few wet sections up top which i aided to avoid the wet rock. Not an ideal rope solo really

Some days you are the sender, and some days you are the pack mule. P2 was not a great seconding experience when close to my limit and such a long pitch. Got probably irrationally worried about a ledge the rope was running over halfway up and unwilling to fall on it, so did a lot of resting onto bolts and fiddling around until I was sure I could climb without falling. P1 is fun if you don't look back, and prepare some more-than-20 footwork for the start. I'd like to lead P2, but maybe with a walky talky so I can ask 'have you got me?' before every hard move as usual 🤣

Amazing!! Went for the onsight but needed some beta in the middle section. Super patient belayer!! Pitch 2 lead, pitch 3 second in the dark.

Seconding Magui to exit the crag. My patented "15 minute no-resting" speed free lap. Easy climbing or not, its amazing how pumped you can get smashing out 65m without a pause.
