Up there for the best route I've done. Environment, access and quality of climbing get mega classic status.

Moai day! Leisurely start. Cracking walk out pace set by the boys. Shyed away from burning spear after seeing it cane everyone and did SS. Nice enough climb. One cool move involving a layback side swap. Proceeded to veg the arvo out on the ledge. The gang made very impressive time getting out the 3p access route in less than an hour by climbing (some of us soloing) the whole thing. A delightful arrival back to forty bay with lachie running out onto the beach with beers. Why cant all climbing trips end luke that?

Been ages since I've been to the Moai. It's a top notch day out. Nice lead by Dan, although he did selfishly place a bombproof wire that took some work to get out. Climbed in two downies, which made it bearable.

Super awesome location

Flipping amazing! Such fantastic climbing and so scenic - well worth the hike out there. My tip is to get up before dawn and hike out as the sun rises so you have the least windy conditions.

Followed Martin up some kind of direct start variant from the V groove chimney into the top bolt line. Led entirely on trad gear. Bonkers.

Repeat. With Scotty Wearin. Led doddly P1, clean 2nd P2. Still a bloody great classic and the best value route on the Moai!

With Cam and Mike. I pulled on a lot of gear on second to avoid loading my shoulder. 1st time was in 2011 with Laura.

Was always relaxing before, but a slightly different story with a big easterly swell covering the platform with wash and spray. Intense!
