Tricky start

Lovely powerful climbing, big moves between good holds on super steep terrain. One fall on first attempt and felt like it could go on round 2. Second time got a high point but felt way too insecure to make the final clip in the roof so took a big ol winger. Definitely felt harder than the 22 on the next tier.

Would definitely go if I had another attempt. The savage bush bashing approach and google maps shenanigans gave us a much later start than expected, so ran out of time to give it another go. Incredible line - will definitely come back to tick on next gramps trip!

Definitely the best steep jugs I’ve climbed

Spent too long hanging around on jugs marvelling at the exposure and got terminally pumped, came off just before the big rest

Great up to the 5th bolt, then what?? Either a huge dyno to bird poo ledge or big span across basically into Christendom. Chose the latter, got super off route, then whipped off the anchors and sprained an ankle on the landing. Descent to the car was bordering on an epic - hopping on one leg down the steep AF hill, night falling, headlamps failing, light rain - but then the drugs kicked in and I could mostly walk. Huge props to Yuji for carrying all the gear down and impeccable route finding. Would come back to Ruined Castle but wouldn't get back on this.
